So slid off my bike last week, luckily the bike is fine...

Bit of road rash and a huge bruise to my right hip, went to the doc's today and they said the swelling is nothing to be concerned about but to take it easy.

How long should I take it easy for as it doesn't hurt when I ride, I was thinking about a few days.

If it doesn't hurt while riding, then I'd go riding.

I'd take it easy for a few days. Listen to your body.

Got a nice inflamed 'bursa' now, feels like someone's surgically implanted a boob implant on my hip rolleyes

Don't really want to aggravate it and end up like a lop sided J-lo.

I would go out and spin your legs. Extra circulation is a good thing. Short rides close to base at first. It's what I did after major surgery on mine. I started on a static bike.

Take notice of any pain during or after. Movement got rid of the swelling and the bruising took a while longer than that.
