Well that's me having a boring weekend on my own in Holland as the wife was planning to come out for half term and I was going to take some of next week off to do some tourism and lounging on the beach. She can't even get rebooked on to a flight on Monday at the moment
Can she not get on another carrier?Otherwise, Utrecht is quite a nice town to spend an day.

Drive it, or drive to Ebbsfleet and change trains at Lille, surely?Big knock on effect with people booking out other airlines straight away, nothing with EasyJet available until Monday. According to Skyscanner the only direct flight still available for Sunday is a KLM one at about 5-6 times the price I usually pay for EasyJet or BA.
Nothing on Eurostar until Monday either.

They're all in the same place though.A little video from CEO Alex Cruz giving a brief explanation (of what we already know) and offering apologies. Makes a change for a CEO to step up so early on.

Anyone more IT savy than me seriously think that the "power supply issue" is genuine. Our 2-bit, 30 staff company, has all servers on UPS, etc, I can't believe BA don't have any power outage backup (and test it regularly!).
Has "power supply issue" become the new excuse?
If true, I'd guess that all their power is derrived via a single main LV panel (normal supply & generator) with no parallel redundant paths & that panel has experienced a catastrophic failure. Has "power supply issue" become the new excuse?
There should also be parallel redundancy in the server structure too so for everything to go offline, some serious issues and/or chronic failings in their infrastructure design & maintenence.
Nothing would surprise me.
