Then stop making fking stupid remarks like you did....all Darren's my arse

really, go read up on the Peace Movement and their street protests.....take your time and then come back. (Hint, you learn sweet FA in two minutes between posts)
It took 20 years from the tragic events that prompted these mass rallies to the peace process really gaining traction. During that time the whole movement was dismissed out of hand by the Republicans.

If you think it added value, then you're welcome to your opinion, but what really ended it for the IRA was that they knew they couldn't win using military options and so chose to negotiate a peace that ensured Sinn Fein could continue. As much as this movement was grounded in virtue, it didn't really deliver anything.

Oh and once again, try not to get too sweaty, as it just makes you look a bit incapable of having a reasoned discussion.

Yes it took time, but it was the start of the loss of their public support and during that time the movement grew and had a deeper effect on the public's acceptance of "the troubles" and those responsible for them.
It was a remarkably brave and forward looking movement.
It delivered the first message of rejection, it was a massive lesson to the IRA/UDA

Sweaty, nope just a little sad at peoples willingness to trivialise a serious subject.

Feel free to have the last word, the last attack or post whatever accusation you wish.....I however am leaving the thread/subject now as it has run (over run) it course.

Not sure we need to know about Darren and your arse.

How about trying to debate and not swear every time you run out of intellect. You've had a number of posters explain the point about marches to you, but it always ends in a juvenile foul mouthed rant.

Another rant from you;

If so "BOB-On", why no mass protests in the streets of European capitals by the Muslim community in the same way there was an Anti War protest ? You would think they would work hard to show their disgust and rejection of these developments in their religion

I do not understand the Muslim community, they take bugger all mass action and are so reluctant to condemn as a group (I am talking mass here, not 30 odd)
No rant there mate, and I stand by that.

Your thoughts on the Peace Movement and its effects in NI ?, it IS an example of positive community action that had a significant effect but you choose to dismiss fact/recorded history/effect and continue your "what if's" and silly examples.

A) I'm not your mate, and
B) there have been many actions by the Muslim "community" which never seem to be enough, and I'm pretty sure a march would not be enough either for some, and
C) for whose benefit are the marches. Yours? Theirs?

What do you mean all we know there have been no reports he did what you said.
You seem to stereotype and make generations on someone by just a few words they right on a forum. If we are doing that then I think you are a Islamic terrorist sympathiser if not even a supporter.

As for Larner having just had a quick look that guy would normally be stereotype as a thug EDL type scum. Like the rest of these so called scum they are the first to put themselves in harm's way.
You still won't see the simple point which is that anyone committing an atrocity like London / Westminster / Finsbury Park should expect not to walk away, be that via the police, or the public if they get their hands on them. To suggest one should get away and one shouldn't is double standards in the extreme, either both deserve to, or neither deserves to.

For all I know the Larner bloke is a football thug, but what he did was brave and I'd love to think I'd have the balls to do the same, but not sure I would have.

As for the namecalling give it a rest. I've never said anything other than every terrorist deserves all the punishment they're getting. I shed no tears over their deaths or lifetime incarceration. I could though accuse you of the flip side of the coin and suggest you're a fascist, white supremacist warmonger who wants to see all non-whites executed, of course that would just be an idiotic thing to say.

One of the Glasgow bombers died. The other one got a right kicking though and the person who did it was widely feted as a hero. I'm not having a go at him, as I've said before I'd love to think I'd act the same way. All I'm saying is that no matter who the attacker if the group being attacked over powers them, then it's highly likely that the attacker will end up seriously injured at best and quite possibly dead. That's not exclusive to the group in Finsbury Park.

On a less serious note, but useful one, use the letter "h" less. The past tense of the verb to be is "were" not "where", ditto with "has" vs "as". The plural of said verb is is also "weren't", not "wasn't". I'm not having a pop, but it does make your posts difficult to read.
