CCTV footage shows man hit by bus in Reading
CCTV footage shows the shocking moment a man was hit by a bus on the street in Reading.
Simon Smith was knocked to the ground by the vehicle while walking along Gun Street. He was able to get back on his feet afterwards and suffered only minor injuries.
No arrests have been made. Reading Buses say it was an awful incident which is being investigated internally.
The guy takes a bit of a wallop.

I'm not sure the headline is very descriptive of the incident. Bus hits man suggests the man was in the road.
Bus mounts pavement, hits pedestrian, wipes out shop front and narrowly avoids lamppost is nearer the mark.
Bus driver is going to need a telephone directory down his pants, and rightly so.

When you look at the narrow road before, I can't work out how it could have been so quick through the right where it mounts the pavement without already crashing on the left before it. Bus view, spin around for the left and very narrow approach - https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.4542986,-0.97270...Unless it was a medical incident and his foot slipped onto the accelerator after the left.

The bus looks to hit something in the road just before it hits the bloke, wonder if that had anything to do with distracting the driver? But yes, it does look like the bus was going too fast/wasn't in full control anyway.
