Just bought a product off of a website & now wish to return it. Noticed they have no postal address anywhere, just an e mail address.
Even the paypal details just give an e mail address. Is this legal? Not sure if they're VAT registered but no details of this either?

No, trading standards require that they give a physical address. Chances are it's just a regular house somewhere and they don't want you to know that.

Is it a limited company? Could check on Companies House.

Shame, they've used their accountants address: http://wsm.co.uk/contact/

Just email them and ask for a return address; will be interesting to see what they give. Looked on their website; quite cheap looking... wouldn't fill me with confidence.

A bit late, but the first thing I check when buying online - ensure there is a bricks and mortar address.
Hope yours works out okay.

Sounds well dodgy, domain is registered to a Gibraltar company:

Domain name:
ubersonic.co.uk

Registrant:
Chillwear Ltd

Registrant type:
Non-UK Corporation

Registrant's address:
Mainstreet 2
Gibraltar
Gibraltar
143
Gibraltar

Your best bet is to file a PayPal dispute. If they don't respond or co-operate, PayPal will find in your favour and you'll get your money back smile

So they're using a fulfilment co. To send out their products... nothing wrong with that but they should still have a co. address on their website.

I have a business that uses a fulfilment centre - and they handle returns... it's good for people running businesses with no real venue; or if they are abroad.

They are not really dodgy. Probably trustafarians from looking at their owners instagrams. Think private jets, yacht life etc. Doing this on the side to be "self made y0".

They are white labelling chinese goods and using a UK fulfilment centre for postage. Hence gibralter company (tax). Where the dodgyness comes in is where they make most of their profit - by selling a subscription where you pay over £100 upfront on a product worth around £3.
