Should there now be a referendum to decide on Heathrow expansion?

Based on the answers not being to your liking, I'd give it another month before trying the same, eventually you might get the answer you wanted.

Only if over 80% or the population participate and the result is over 60% in favour/against.

Surely its been proven that inviting the general public to use their gut feelings about subjects most of them are completely uneducated about leads to chaos.

Is pretty much my view of it. And to use an EU analogy, if MPs make silly decisions I can vote them out. If a certain percentage of the public do so I have no such recourse.

Tell the Swiss, I am sure they will be very grateful for your advice.

What are most politicians educated on, in most cases clearly maths is a problem...

Or we could try the remainerrs way, and hold referendum after referendum until, (and if) the vote result they want is obtained, after which referendums will be completely banned in the UK.
I assume all those who are saying they don't like referenda, definitely don't want another one, on whether or not the UK should remain in the EU/ accept the exit deal etc.. I mean if they did, that would sort of be double standards wouldn't it?

I can't speak for anyone else but my view has always been that there shouldn't be any at all - so, no, this particular 'remoaner' doesn't want another one.

The liberals/left don'e even like general elections now, and try to claim the result isn't legitimate or a mandate or by 'enough' of margin.

We've seen this in the USA and the UK recently.

The only vote the liberals/left think is democratic/legitimate is one that they win.

Very worrying times for our freedoms with these types of lunatic views emerging.

I think we should have more of them. Simple "Yes" or "No" policy choices. I believe Switzerland does it to some extent.

The idea that the talking heads on the TV know any more or better than the layman is largely a lie. As we saw with so many of the polls recently.
