How can we get our Lancashire jobs back in the mills? Does Donald think globalisation is new and only affects the USA?
I think you are mis-placing my point to a different end, I am not advocating the wholesale reversion of globalisation, just parts of it, as was Trump/Bannon. I would also point out that the socio-economic conditions of Manchester and Lancashire are very different to the likes of Chicago where the were 762 murders in a single year vs. 38 in the whole of Greater Manchester. Something has to be done to break the cycle of poverty and violence.Obama, whilst a great orator and general all round nice guy, did nothing substantial to break the cycle. There is no solution to break the cycle other than reversing what caused the problem in the first place, the root cause of the problem is the same in 2017 as it was back in 1977.
Anyway, a great example by a trainer/sneaker company that 'gets it' by making some lines in U.K and the U.S.A can be found here: http://www.newbalance.com/made-in-us-and-uk/

This year, it's 326 white and 165 black (so far). Yet the us is 13% black and 70% white. Very disproportionate figures.
To get some proportion; How many were shot by white police and how many shot by black police?
Police in Oklahoma kill 7x as many per million as in Georgia.
Oklahoma City police are 85% white, 6% black.
Atlanta City police are 37% white, 57% black.

Had a quick look but those sites don't appear to answer the question. Police in Oklahoma kill 7x as many per million as in Georgia.

Which is an odd thing for the self-proclaimed 'greatest democracy on earth' to get wound up about. As unquestioning allegiance to things like flags and anthems is fascism 101.
Just look at their leader. He loves the flag so much the thought of serving under it gave him bone spurs. Which I assume are like a really severe case of goose bumps. Russian ad targets are getting an airing.

Commants on many ads had poor spelling and gramer........ Aparantly. (parrot in here somewhere, I am the last person to claim to be good at spelling).
Alabama elections have a result as well. Moore winning where Strange was the incumbent and Presidential favourite. Still a GOP win though? Right?......

Former director of the CIA and a four star general sides with the NFL against Trump....

“As a 39-year military veteran, I think I know something about the flag, the anthem, patriotism, and I think I know why we fight,” Hayden wrote. “It’s not to allow the president to divide us by wrapping himself in the national banner.”
“I never imagined myself saying this before Friday, but if now forced to choose in this dispute, put me down with Kaepernick,” he concluded the column.

Trump's fight with the NFL may have more to do with them just protesting, still bitter as they told him to get stuffed when he wanted to buy a team.

Good to hear from our resident experts that racism isn't an issue in the US anymore.
