I also believe he will try to hang on until his youngest son Barron is old enough to be levered into position as his successor. One of his other sons may have to stand up as an interim candidate. Like Hitler Clinton, Trump is very dynasty-minded.

I think some people need to look up the meaning of 'dynasty'.

I may regret this but who are you referring to there?
Here are the two main definitions of dynasty: 'a line of hereditary rulers of a country; a succession of people from the same family who play a prominent role in business, politics, or another field.'
Seems to me that 'dynasty' in a Trumpian context fits on both counts.

Not a scoobies I assume that happened today. If he has outright accused her of lying I am on the fence unfortunately. There is so much anti trump hate i would not put it past her to accuse Trump of doing something he didnt equally Trump is often full of st or tells lies so may be lying.. fk knows.

Simply put he has dug himself a huge hole from which there is no way to get out in this case due to the sensitivity of the matter. She may be lying but he cannot reasonably accuse a widow of doing so as its seriously out of order but if she is it would also be a bitter pill to swallow to state he had lied to avoid accusing her of lying. scratchchin
I don't understand your logic.

You recognise that Trump is full of st and lies (He does.Continuously. About anything and everything.)

The widow on the other hand has no reason to lie, no track record of being a liar, and has her version of events corroborated by other people.

But you're "on the fence"? confused

The guy's a prize tit. The only good thing about this is that it's distracting him from global thermonuclear war.

I'm just amazed that nobody seems to have recorded that conversation. Or maybe they have, and have had a visit from Cigarette Smoking Man.

Yes, that fits, you could also say the same for Bush or Kennedy. But, as someone else mentioned, Hitler? No family. Clinton? After Hillary, there's no indication that Chelsea is interested in politics other than helping her mother's election campaign.

Clinton wanted a dynasty. The dynasty does not immediately have to move downwards through the generations.

"A dynasty is a series of rulers from one family."

The Bush family are a far better example of a political dynasty than the Clintons. Father, two sons, grandsons etc.. With the Clintons it's just Bill and Hillary, Chelsea doesn't seem to want to follow.

If the rumors are right Barron is unlikely to rise to any kind of office.

But where was that going to go after Hillary? Can you have a dynasty of two?

You certainly have the beginnings of one.

Not wishing to get into the semantics of it but Hitler's idea was for a 1000 year Reich, clearly based on the principle of a continuing line of leaders/rulers signed up to the idea.

What makes you think anything he says from now on will bring him down?

He’s mocked the disabled, he’s attacked military (pow and Gold Star families, repeatedly), the whole “grab 'em by the pussy” thing and called white nationalist stiff armed salutes “fine people”.

It’s funny watching people say “Now THIS is the thing that’ll finish him”. Like flies bashing their heads into window panes “Now THIS time I’ll make it through”

Time. It all takes time He's only been in situ for nine months.

He can continue to talk like an idiot and a clown for many more months to come but there is a chip, chip chipping away at his support in Washington. His base will stick by him - no matter what. But they don't matter.

Those he REALLY needs will lose patience with him - and get him out (as they did with Nixon).

My guess is that sooner or later he's going to have to testify under oath. Then he'll almost certainly perjure himself. If this will bring him down or not, I'm not sure.

You have a repeating blind spot with this. No where it the constitution does it say thou shalt not bullst. We get you don't like his style. It won't impeach him, as an apparently intelligent man, you should realise this.
