Nunes memo is still lurking but what is in it one wonders.

But it had an interesting effect he probably does not want.

And Wikileaks is offering loot for a copy. Ever the non biased org.
Nunes is in a difficult place. One suspects he made up a lot about this memo and is now being asked to release it but wont. Rather like Trumps claim of taping Comey I think, I don't think it exists.

Melania isn't travelling to Davos talks with Trump, she kept quiet since the news of the porn star payoff. Even on the anniversary of the Inauguration she posted a photo of her on the arm of a Marine.

The Common Cause Group have written a letter to complain to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, calling on the Justice Department to investigate potential violations of the law from the reported hush money Paid.

It's also written a letter to the Federal Election Commission lodged a similar complaint asking the agency to determine if a $130,000 payment from a limited liability company to Clifford was from Trumps Campaign fund.

The money needs to be accounted for as it hasn't been reported to the commission. If the money came from Trump's personal funds then his committee violated the law by failing to report an in-kind contribution and an expenditure. If it was Trump's own money, there was no illegal contribution, just a reporting violation, but we all know how Trump doesn't like to spend his own money.

Trump hated it when Bannon was said to be running the whitehouse, Imagine the reports this weekend that Stephen Miller and Kelly are the power behind the stand on immigration, that they turned Trumps mind, made him look weak.

I am not sure if this has been brought up here, but has anyone been watching 'sassy Trump'?

It's very funny, but also it is very educational to hear Trump's actual words in another voice. Implausible as it may seem, it makes him come across as even more unbalanced and unstable.

I expect it's more to do with Kelly saying Trump's views on the border wall had 'evolved' (i.e. softened) over the last year. Obviously Miller Wormtongue took Trump to one side following this to remind him what he thinks and he re-emerged to slap Kelly down.

So the land of the free and promoter of free trade has just made Samsung washing machines amongst others 50% more expensive. Better buy a whirlpool banged together by a red neck then. Tariffs on trade never end well.

And 30% on imported PV/solar panels too. Increasing business/industry energy costs is always a magic bullet to growth amIright?

The solar installation industry will take a hit, the manufactures not so much.

Does the US have a solar panel manufacturing industry? Genuine Q, I don't know.

I guess this might be a cunning plan to get businesses to burn coal instead.

Back to Russia, because thats where the money trail is, where the collusion occured, what the obstruction and cover up was all about...

Papadopoulos's fiancee says there's a lot more to come that the public don't yet know about

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/george-pap...

Sessions tried to get McCabe removed as part of the obstruction - he's not looking clean in any of this.

Back to this - I wonder what their pre-nup says. Its bound to have something about limited money, ownership of Barron?
Looks like pornstargate may have been a step too far? I guess the pre-nup is keeping her there but she can make it as obvious as possible, not going to Davos, flying back from China separately etc.

Answering my own question it seems there is now just one US-based PV manufacturer, Solarworld Americas. They were a German company, but the parent co went bust last year and the the US arm was sold to the original founder.

There was also Suniva, but they too went bankrupt last year. Both companies were jointly pushing for a 50% tariff on imported pv panels.

China has 50% of the world's demand for PV modules, so unsurprisingly they totally dominate the PV manufacturing industry seeing as their domestic market is totally protectionist.

This should be an interesting test of the America First principle as it applies to energy supply.

I tend to the earlier expressed view of who cares? Their relationship, their business. Tabloidesque speculation - which is what all the above is - is best left to the tabloids.

If she plays this right Melania could become a real hero.

A good PR could make her one of the biggest stars in the world, if she's prepared to leave Donald, and say the right things at the right times.

She's got an unreal amount of power in this situation, at the moment. As long as she's not on Mueller's list.

Doing what?
If she's up for it, making her the anti-Donald. Leaving him, and publicly standing-up for all the people Donald has done down.

Her relative silence (and fairly obvious disgust) so far stands her in good stead for an "I've had enough of this. He's nt the man I thought he was. He's a monster and I'm an empowered woman. We don't have to stand for this!" type circus.

She's lived the American Dream, as an immigrant. Hundreds of millions of people from both sides would admire her if she showed some real guts now and called him out.
