Apparently multiple random stabbings in Turku. An assailant has reportedly been shot by Police.

Apparently the person was shot in the leg and arrested.

I think you'll find that the police forces in all of the recently affected countries are trying very hard to stop it, but the odds of them stopping all of it are against them. The old adage that the police/security services succeed 99 times and no one notices, but they fail once and they are incompetent/not trying.

I suspect the Dynamic Space Wizard was talking about a broader "No-one's going to do anything to stop it", rather than detection and prevention of specific incidents.
