The 'disease' of today. She doesn't even know where she lives, does she. Hunstanon? She's missing a 't' and something more critical!

Yep, the appeasement attitude in this country, as promoted by the media, is getting way out of control. How many folk/businesses lost a days wages/takings because local law enforcement can't or, I suspect, won't challenge the travellers due to PC reasons? And just what is Ireland doing about this ongoing problem? They're keen for borders to remain open, wonder why that is? So we can be continually ripped forever by "travellers" who have permanent homes in Ireland?

You have to be nice to the homeless travelling folks, bless them. They're the curse of the UK jolly scum that they are.

Why would Ireland want to do anything about it, they've got rid of their problems on to us !

The travellers have permanent homes in Ireland. Call it a transfer of wealth from the UK to Ireland. EDIT: they're also Irish citizens. You go to France and pull the shat they do here in the UK, your @rse will be deported in no-time, EU or no EU.

They all have lovely homes in Ireland, they don't want to make them dirty, that's why the censored live over here.

I think you're right. They can't pull the stunts that they do here in S Ireland.

At the annual local 'horse fair', pubs within a 5 mile or so radius are advised to close as there isn't enough Police available to deal with the issues that the numerical locksmiths create.

Regardless, you won't find out from the BBC, Sky, ITV, C4 and other news outlets, Denis MacShane's (the Labour MP who went to jail for being a thief) NUJ guidelines specifically prohibits negative reporting on travellers. Here's his legacy on the subject which ALL news outlets and journos folllow:

Guidelines on Gypsies and Travellers:

- Do not sensationalise stories involving Gypsies and Travellers, particularly around their relations with settled communities and over issues around housing and education.

- Only use the words Gypsy or Traveller if relevant to a story and accurate.

- Gypsy and Traveller communities are culturally diverse. Ensure your terminology is accurate. Check with a person how they want to be defined. If this is not possible consult community leaders or organisations.

- Seek the views of the Gypsies and Travellers themselves, as well as those of others, consulting their representative organisations where possible.

Those Tactical Support guys in the police can be very effective when used, in quantity, to resolve problems. It would be good if some could be tasked with very direct action trouble-shooting when similar problems arise.

That would be the last straw as far as I'm concerned. I'd be out as should the rest of the community, armed and looking for blood.

The 'community' would be on their phones within seconds calling up all their friends to assist with this issue. The Police would not know what hit them and there would be an absolute riot and injuries on both sides.

Would you want to be the person who gives the ok for that?
