doors won't stay open

08 Aston Martin Vantage V8 When doors are opened on either side they won't stay open. I know the doors run uphill but my wife has terrible time getting in and out with doors trying to shut themselves

I'm sure somebody will be along with a better answer but I've seen this mentioned in the past and I think you have to replace the door stays. From memory, I got the impression it's a bit more than a 5 minute job.

Mine do stay open but not as well as they should do probably need to sort mine at some point.

Thanks. I didn't know if it was normal. You call them "door stays"? I'm under warranty but I have to drive 4 hours to closest dealer. Figure I can spend the day in Charlotte if he has the parts. Thanks Frank

You are exactly right. Called dealer and had in stock, install Friday and surprisingly only $552 for both doors. Warranty item anyway. So have to be there by 1pm Warranty authorized rental so I guess I'll take my bud and go from Va Beach to Greensboro and have some good Carolina Bar-B-Que. Thanks for the advise. Frank
