Lots of Oliver and Olivia and Jessica and George to be found at www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-41160596

There's a nod to some non-Anglo-Saxon influence appearing in the boys' names in London and the west Midlands, but the top 5 could have been there at any time since the 11th century.

Unless you consider alternative spellings, which changes the numbers and rankings quite dramatically, including a new number one for the whole of England and Wales.

What are you going on about, the BBC seems to be reporting the facts as they are, maybe take the tin foil hat off might help you think better.

Muhammad or a variation of that name has taken the top spot in England and Wales every year since 2011 - not sure anyone has attempted to hide that fact. However to make a fair comparison surely all names should be either treated separately or should be combined with names that have a similar spelling (e.g. Nicholas, Nickolas, Nicolas, Nikolas or Martin, Marten, Martyn etc).

The Evening Standard was reporting Oliver as the top boy's name. They were obviously studiously avoiding the name that dare not speak its, er, name too.

But <grrr> BBC! <grrr>

Don't know why it's so exciting. Where I am working, there are three supply staff. There are 5 Mohammeds between them. Even one of the ladies has a Mohammed thrown in for good luck.

It really shouldn't be surprising. It's highly likely any muslim family will name their male child Muhammad/Mohammed so that obviously skews the results.

Everyone that is bothered by this should call their next son Jesus.

Spelled correctly.

If you said 20-30 years ago that the top boys name would be Mohammed or how ever you want to spell it. You would have been laughed at and called a racist tinfoil hat idiot. Just as if you said White's in London would be a minority by 2015.

But they have been proven right. And the same or similar people today are predicting and warning if things don't change or even worryingly that's its now to late to change. Things are going to get worse and much worse.

And what do the people who time and time again get it wrong do? They do the exactly the same things and call them racist and stupid.

The white Anglo Saxon Christian culture is now doomed in this country. Replaced by God knows what but its almost certain to lead to secular wars and massive social problems. But that could just be me with my tinfoil hat.

Quite clearly you're a racist who hasn't fully embraced multiculturalism?

Yep.

Without wishing to stop the usual suspects before they hit Formation Fapping velocity - even the latest numbers show that there are more "Anglo Saxon " names than "Muslim " names. I don't know if the Anglo Saxon names are white, brown, black, or indigo or whether they are Christian , Jewish , Rastafarian , or Quaker . For some of you I'm sure the fact that Eadmund, Eagbert, Aethelred, and Aethalstan are no longer in the Top 100 is a sure sign that we're all doomed. Dont worry , Jacob Rees Mogg is doing his horizontal best to bring the good times back.

The white Anglo-Saxon side of this country was only ever a passing phase anyway. The white Celtic side was here long before those Saxon interlopers - not to mention all those European Italo/Romano/Celts etc.

Those bloody Saxons really ruined this place.
