And even if the population is now growing through birth rates its know fact that its 1st and 2nd generation immigration driving this.
Like me?
Quite possibly yes, the hole premise of my point was about immigration is the cause of population growth.
It was never about the pro or cons of the fact.

I always enjoy checking up on these threads where I am suddenly ineligible to breed just because my parents were immigrants.

Never mind what I do for a living or what I do for our country. Some PHers have learned their ROYGBIV and got their gold stars. Consequently, some tts on here think that those with darker skin shouldn't breed.

It's not my place to talk any further but I'm sure any regular PHer will be aware of the most recent beef on here.

And don't forget those murderous Vikings, coming over here, founding cities, opening up trade with other parts of Europe etc.

Keep Britain Celtic.
Actually, no, I blame the fish. Climbing out of the sea onto our fine British beaches with their primitive lungs. It's all been downhill since then, in my well informed opinion.

I'm still wanting to know why it's a problem for me, as a second generation immigrant, to be breeding.
Well, there's the crying, the feeding at 3am, the nappies, puking etc, and soon enough they will be moaning at you for money, lifts to their mates, and staying out late.
best not to get involved in it biggrin

Bit late, unfortunately for certain posters on here I have two little girls already.

However i suspect given they are both white, with one having really blond hair, they would pass muster.

There is no problem with you breeding, as long as the country is aware of any changes this may bring to the country both demographically and economically.

As long as we are all aware of the issues and any little quirks that migrants bring we can manage it.

The problem is nobody gave any thought to it at all and we stumble from managing one issue to the next.

Well if it helps, they both have Greek names (Sophia and Chloe) so we are doing our bit to usurp English names, like us immigrants should.

What changes would they be then?

Yes, do tell. What changes would be acceptable to yourself? Specifically.

I suggest that proposing that it is possible to measure, evaluate and predict how a culture will change is to show some disregard for how history works. History works in slow time. Cultures evolve constantly, with or without migration. Sometimes cultural change happens fast, as it has in relation to telecoms and social media. In other respects, cultures change gradually. These things are not eminently predictable.

And what happens to it when the demographic is changed rapidly without suitable expansion of the very social structures and facilities that enable gradual integration ?

The figures do not support your concern, as the percentage of scary brown people in the population at large is still small. There are pockets of concentrated scary brown people, and crappy policies have failed to provide infrastructure and have also failed to emphasise integration and liberal values, but these are short term policy mistakes, not lasting sea changes. Look around the country - most of it is not drowning in scary brown people. The country has many other problems, but we have become absurdly obsessed with two problems that ought to be way down the list, namely the EU and the scary brown people.

Ask why. Why has the need for such a sudden demographic change in certain parts of the uk come about?

If there has been a sudden demand for cheap unskilled labour then WHY has there been?
