I'll simply say Cashmere yellow on the GC8

Depends on the car but for yellow I like TVR Halcyon Midas

My lottery garage would need a 911RS in it but the problem would be picking between Rubystone or Mint Green. Both colours look better in the metal than on photos.

As has already been said - its very car / shape dependant, but I would generally say black, even though its a pain to keep clean and swirl free

You realise the OP said BEST colour right? vomithehe

The Riviera Blue in the background of the second pic would be worth a shout though smile

Depends on the car smile Red looks fantastic on a 355, but awful on an Esprit. The Evora S looks great in white (even my wife, who hates white cars, said that the other day), but imagine a Civic Type R in white! eww...

Or beige. You'd have loved the 70s.

Never owned one, but it has to be a green for me, my favourite probably being the Alpina variety:

On the 911 theme, I do like Irish Green too:

I'm probably a bit of a heathen, but for me there isn't a Ferrari out there that doesn't look better in black

Not at all from my perspective - red is such a "look at me" colour, and I hate attracting attention. I'd argue the 456 and 550 look better in grey or blue though.

I love the C1s in that sort of "grape" colour...

I'm also a big fan of that lovely metallic red that some Renaults and Mazdas come in....

+1

Love it when it's clean and catches the sun, loads of purple flake in the paint.

Volkswagen ultraviolet is really nice too, seen it on a Scirroco R.

Whaaa? I can understand not liking German diesels in white, but a Civic Type R should be in Championship White, Honda's heritage colour!

How about a lime green S2000 - apparently only seven were sold in the UK across the nine years of production!

In true PH fashion, I shall attempt to back-up my gross generalisation with a single example Rob wink

Of course, there's every chance that if Ferraris were best known for being black I would now be extolling the virtues of them in red!

Just to confirm, by saying "not at all" I was referring to you beaing a heathen - I agree with you entirely.

The only paint which was really made me stop to admire it was on a Zonda in the Pagani factory in 2006. It was this amazing, multi-layered yellow, which had more depth than the Atlantic.

Aside from that, I don't really care. I drive an orange car.
