I notice whoever bought it ordered some extras, a LM style exhaust, extra steering wheel and a windscreen strip. Do you think that's one of those 70's style strips with the drivers name one side and his girlfriends the other, I guess it would have to be drivers in the middle and girlfriends either side.

When they say finance available, what do you reckon the monthlies on a 4 year PCP with £4k deposit would be?

This isn't a car you just sell on a whim. The owner is probably calling the top of the market. Let's see if they can get the sale away in time ... (ominous music plays)

The engine itself, if there has been no use surely there is no mechanical wear and it's essentially brand new? Why would you need to rebuild it?
All the oil's drained to the sump and everything else has been sat in the air unprotected for years, it's probably all got flash surface rust. Bearings might well have bonded to the crank, rings are probably stuck, etc.
Makes sense, thank you.

Also, TH junior's instagram page says 'with great pride I unveil a car I purchased recently' - is that true or are we calling BS and the car is actually on sale or return? Does he really have enough cash to purchase an unregistered F1 to stock? And as another poster suggested, would someone really want to sell it that way, potentially without getting a true feeling for its value?

By all accounts the car has been for sale since January 2013 (according to some Japanese websites). Also someone close to the F1 program mentioned servicing the car just a few years ago.

There is also a bit of talk about this car being bought by THJ under false pretences of it going into his private collection.

There's some amazing rubbish being spouted in this posting !!!! I'm surprised that the original owner isn't known in the F1 community as well. Anyway, the reason it's never been driven is the god awful colour !! I wonder how much to have the colour changed ? Interior as well then I guess

Wouldn't surprise me. I took interest in his social media postings for a while, but he just came over as an arrogant twerp, very quick to belittle people and really rather full of himself. I stopped following.

Im sure if I had 600k 20 years ago too spend on a hyper car but was told if I didn't use it I would get 15 - 20 million for it, it would never have moved an inch.

People are assuming that the owner has just covered it in a dust sheet and never looked at it again for 20 years! I find that hard to believe.

Someone who's taken the care to preserve a 200-mile, 2-decade-old car is probably going to park it in a dehumidified storage unit and get it serviced with a stamp (or the Japanese equivalent) every year. A fair bet the engine is going to be rust-free and in good condition.

Given the choice I would much rather have that ex Rowan Atkinson car. It has been properly used, loved and shown to lots of people over the years. A proper history for this most analogue of modern supercars. The yellow car, not so much

I wonder if there is somebody out there who bought the so called 'Holy Trinity' & has the 3 cars stashed away destined to remain on delivery mileage?

I'm going to ask if I can take it for a test drive. "Not bad Tom, but the tyres are now slightly worn, think I will pass...."

Considering the car has never been used these made me laugh

"Spare keys" .. always good to have if you are never going to drive it.

" removable steering wheel" because you need that if you are never going to sit in it.

"commemorative TAG Heuer watch with the chassis number engraved on the face (completely unused)" .. completely unused too, this is the man to buy toilet rolls off if you ever need to....

I'd love to be so rich I could buy it and use it for the dog walking trip every day... that will soon bring on entropy.....

Answer is right there in your question, sadly.
Assuming it can sell at the asking price then the guy makes an investment.
Also assuming it sells then the 'investment' has then been made on the car..... is it likely to remain an investment for the next owner?
Are such cars going to endlessly increase in value?

Shame it has just sat in someone's garage though.
I would have to question if the engine would still be in fine tune, etc.
I'd assume if its all been done with investment in mind then the owner would have kept it in non-humid conditions etc.
I notice its still in 'factory wrap'.

Ok, ok, I'll shake on it if there's a full tank of 4 star and a year's tax.
