Nearly all Britons who join Islamic State should be killed he says.
Bet some types are choking on their cornflakes reading that.

A list of names and photos has been given to fighters to make sure the worst ones never make it here and I suspect this is being made very public to deter them from heading this way.
As an aside, if you want an interesting bet, try Rory Stewart for PM in a few years time. Even if he is an old Etonian, he is a thoughtful and experienced ex-spy.
Totally agree with him.
The mind-set of the ISIS fighter is to die in the goal of their caliphate - where up on they will have their virgins etc. etc..
There will be little point in changing tactics in order to try to save 'british' ISIS fighters, thinking that they'll simply surrender, or be caught, re-educated and then released back in to UK society.
Eradicate the threat they pose to the UK.
Otherwise they'll be back here in the UK, protected by liberal-left-wing lawyers and then able to spread their hate within. Opening the possibility of more Manchester style attacks. etc.

Not up here Breadvan.
'Rory the Tory' is our local MP and the socialists love him!
Even my brother, a University lecturer no less, thinks he's the biz.
Ken and Ruth don't even register on the radar in these here parts, notwithstanding the Jazz, suede loafers, same sex relationship and all round cuddliness!

Nicolas Soames is the current BBC favourite, usurping Ken Clarke. 'Rory the Tory' is our local MP and the socialists love him!

I agree with his assessment.
Watched two 2010 BBC documentaries "Afghanistan The Great Game – A Personal View by Rory Stewart" on Netflix a couple of weeks ago his knowledge about middle-east is pretty spectacular, he even spent two years walking across Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, India, staying in 500 homes, no wonder he has bandy legs.

Labour MP appearing on Daily Politics today, reckons what has been said is wrong! She said that people may go over but not fight, they may change thier minds. Basically coming up with loads of bullshine defending the poor little innocents who are misguided. Daily Politics second guest, Tory MP Mercer, soon put her right by pointing out such details like sifting out the chaff and identify those that fight and kill Western soldiers, the ones worth targeting
Explaining how tough it is to get permission to target and kill an enemy of the UK. Listening to the Labour MP spouting her pov was truely a worrisome moment, and I again considered the magnitude of damage Labour would inflict should they ever take Office.

With his experience of the middle east and Afghanistan he can see that its a few fanatics that ruin the lives of millions.
They have shown they are not fit for a civilized society so I guess he offered the logical conclusion.
They only thing that sits a bit uncomforably is the uk quietly encouraged them to go off to fight as they were doing mayhem in syria and the middle east and we liked that.
They failed in our mission so now the are surplus to requirement.

Rory the Tory is way too short and ugly to become PM. But he has a very memorable name and is starting to make a name for himself in a BoJo-type way.
He has a fair point. If you wanna go fight for the enemy, you will be treated like an enemy.
But, as above, the UK government encourages fighters to head overseas, and then turns against them when it goes wrong.

Now mentioned twice on this thread.I am aware of a UK government campaign to stop people joining ISIS but not aware of any similar campaign to "encourage fighters to go to the Middle east", perhaps you would like to provide examples.
As to the subject of the OP. Those who join ISIS have joined an armed group opposed to the west. Those proved to be members should be locked up upon their return. Those still in the field should be killed with impunity.
The fact that Labour seems to have difficulty properly condemning them tells you a great deal about the moral equivalency in which they place such extreme groups and the west.
