Anyway on the refunds question, there are some horror stories going the rounds about people who have paid way over odds from resellers and now facing refund of the face value only. Having never ever bought from resellers on principle, is that how it works?
Seems that the touts will get a refund from Ticketmaster (or similar) and people who bought from the resellers will be left out in the cold. chml said:

More fool them TBH it's a risk you take buying from an unauthorised site or someone wanting to make a quick buck.
This, no way ticketmaster will refund anything other than face value for tickets to the people who bought the tickets in the first place. They don't care of you paid thousands for them. dazwalsh said:

Nobody has paid £2000 for a £40 ticket. No chance. Read another, claiming had paid two grand for 40 quid tickets. Holy cow.

So what's he got then? Come on.
I bet all the promotors and that are right fked off, you're talking huge money for 100 date tour.
Hopefully most people involved care a little more about someones well being than money. Could be any number of things, perhaps a relative has been given a certain amount of time left and PK thinks the next two years could be better spent other than working?I bet all the promotors and that are right fked off, you're talking huge money for 100 date tour.

Depends how many tickets (plural) though doesn't it? Considering tickets were on sale for 300 quid 8 minutes after sales opening.
An alarmingly large percentage of tickets don't become available for general sale. Those that do are heavily targeted by bots and are immediately offered for resale at higher prices.
The ticket sale process is so corrupt it's untrue.

Is that right? I know next to nothing about events as I’ve never had any money so haven’t chosen for regular gig/concert/sports/event going to be a part of my life. I regularly hear about tickets for events with face values of £30/50/100 being traded for a grand or some other monstrous figure and I think to myself “who has the money for these things? Really where do these people find these 30/50/100 pounds?” And then I contemplate the higher figures. Those that do are heavily targeted by bots and are immediately offered for resale at higher prices.

From the perspective of the naive onlooker it seems absurd that punters are “forced” into paying such amounts.
Hope the Kay family are ok.

Pink, 16% of tickets offered to the general public...https://nypost.com/2013/05/31/why-cant-you-score-c...
Justin Bieber, 7%
Taylor Swift, 15%

You basically stand very little chance at the face value.
