This bit strikes me as odd:

"They were approached by a man who asked them if he could take a picture of them and then asked if they were gay.
Police said the two men walked away but the suspect then grabbed hold of the victim and said "you are not welcome" and grappled with him."

One person facing up to two strangers is unusual - I would have thought that most random assaults are one on one or a group picking on an individual.

Sounds to me like the aggressor was drunk/high/has mental issues regardless of race or background. Hope he is caught before someone gets hurt.

Good work. Make sure we don't focus on what the attacker(s) root motivation was, why they decided to single out gay couples. Lets excuse him/them by saying they were "unwell" in some way. rolleyes

Of course some groups are more unwell than others...

I guess it’s all part and parcel of living in a big city...

Disgusting that anyone feels they can assault other people due to their sexual preference/ethnicity/gender etc. A shame they cannot be simply removed from society for the protection of others.

No mention of ‘terror’ yet though. Can’t be serious.

I'll wave a flag for one of these any day; what's not to like?

What are the chances of every attack on the UK in the last few years being carried out by loners with mental problems but the Joe Cox attacker was a raging right wing politically motivated Britain First nut job?

Cant speak for others, but I don't care if someone is lgbt. it literally makes no difference to my life in any way who they're fking. Why would it? I don't need to be marching in solidarity or waving flags. In this country it's all legal and protected by Human rights (amazed it took Australia so long btw) Isn't that all there is to it? confused

Mad isn't it! So many unwell people out there. I guess to follow some medieval regime you have to be sick so it's no surprise there's a link.

On a slight tangeant. What did blowing up kids at a concert actually achieve? We've pretty much pulled militarily from Middle East conflicts No? If you believe its our foreign policy at fault for this of course and not just because a certain religion wants to take over the world constantly! Look at Iran in the 70s to now to realise the potential of cultural enrichment!

It killed a bunch of young infidels and sent them to hell. I think the backward vermin who perpatrate these things would consider that enough in itself.
