Sounds more like the Oakland one was gang related. Multiple people shooting at a music video filming location.

The typical definition is a shooting with 4 or more shot or 3 or more killed in one event.

38? It was 33 yesterday. Do they have nothing better to do? Good grief.

and of course what they need in the US is more guns.

Reminds me of a fictional story where Robot police were deployed and were so effective they had to deploy criminal robots to keep the police robots occupied. They then needed innocent bystander robots as too many people were getting shot in the gun fights.

US is too politically polarised and too big to change though.

Hardly even worth mentioning these days as it's just a single fatality. But a four year old girl has been shot and killed with a semi-automatic pistol in Texas on Sunday evening.

She was shot by her three year old sister.

Five adults present... five! And they all thought someone else in the group was watching the kids. Clearly what was needed was a good toddler with a gun.

And it appears that 'watching the kids', even if someone had been,did not include ensuring no guns were lying about. Surely you ensure nothing seriously dangerous is in reach of a 4 year old. Kitchen knives, pans of boiling water, guns, whatever. Especially something that they will mistake for a toy.
