Why do they all speak like they were born in the 20th century?

Nice teeth btw.... dentistry obviously big in 43 AD

Any good? Was planning on giving it a miss judging by the trailers.

Watched the first one, not sure yet but I'll watch more. Don't go in expecting Game of Thrones because it's a long long way from being that good.

I have been spotting the big errors though. I know it's not a documentary but they really haven't even tried any level of authenticity with most of it.

Romans loved hygiene, and before sugar was ubiquitous teeth were mostly good.

Someone scrawled "Romanes eunt domus" on the walls again?

And yet Divis’s teeth have improved dramatically between ep 1 and ep 3. Seems his magic also extends to dentistry!

Watched the first episode and tbh I don’t think I’ll bother watching any more. Thought the acting was pretty poor.

Rubbish.

Badly cast, badly acted and feels horribly false, like a bad BBC drama from the 80's. Even the opening credits are dreadfuly misjudged.

I read this thread and foolishly thought ‘it’s cant be that rubbish’. It was. I paused it about 30 mins in and asked my wife if she was watching it. We both agreed we stopped watching around the time of the wedding or whatever that was.

I've seen better plot lines in the end credits of Neighbours.

What a steaming pile.

Watching the first episode. It's tragic. Norman helmets? Britain looks more like the Middle East. And the acting....jeez.

Yer see, I've not seen it yet either....and I am thinking, it hs the Governor from TWD series 3, so it can't be that bad.

I watched the lot over the last couple of days, it's no GoT as somebody else mentioned. I quite enjoyed it as something to watch while i was working as the plot is easy to predict, the 'twists' are never actually twists as you can see them coming a mile off.
Mind you I do like Kelly Reilly smile
