Given you're folically challenged, why does this ad personally bother you? You seem to be constantly offended. There must be a reason?
If you look at a lot of his other posts the “reason” becomes apparent.......but I’m sure you knew that smile

Del Boy has had a cock extension since seeing her whilst surfing for creamy shampoo.

You say that but until I actually SEE it how can anybody believe or accept it?

Whilst I personally may have little interest in Del’s cock extension, until it’s proudly displayed on 4K HDTV I would argue that it’s only hearsay. In fact, from now on, unless everything isn’t clearly shown on TV (tampons, haemorrhoid medication etc) then the advertising has failed.

Does she look oppressed to you?
Likely someone who wants to save women from being "oppressed in to being told what to wear" by telling them what (not) to wear, without a hint of irony hehe
Indeed biggrin

Given what an advocate Del Mar is for “women’s rights” I would love to hear his opinions around the objectification of women, the pressure on them to dress and wear make-up to make themselves more appealing to men, how the media stereotypes them, the pressure put on young impressionable girls which force them to behave in a certain way. [This advert being complicit to some degree in all of those]

Little, but you can at least see the car, and you can then decide whether you believe their marketing hype.

This lady can advertise all manner of beauty products, make up, face cream etc I just don't see how she can advertise a hair product when you can't see her hair, there is no before or after picture.

Of course the shampoo won't give you hair like Cheryl, but we are shown the shine, the gloss the dream, that sells products.

Imagine all the money beauty companies could save, instead of spending money on attractive models they could use people in paper bags !
But it is getting the product talked about anyway ? It's just a different way of advertising that will then move on and back to more regular type.

I wouldn’t be surprised if part of (or even main) reason why L’Oreal used her in the advert was to get expletive like yourself all in a lather....in fact, given the publicity she’s generated for them and herself I wouldn’t be surprised is she becomes more successful biggrin
Can I ask if your Mrs (if you have one) wears a hijab?

Ask away.

Yes she does. And over the last 20+years of marriage I have told her countless times I think she looks much nicer without it. She refuses to listen to me. Just to put it all into some context I have two daughters and numerous female relatives/friends;

Neither of my daughters wear a scarf in public despite their mum telling them to regularly . Both would wear it when the go to family weddings/funerals/bar mitzvahs. Not because of any paternal oppression but that is because how pretty much all the women at those events will be dressed. In general they will western clothes. Having said that they have plenty of girlfriends who combine western clothes (jeans/leggings etc) with headscarves

A cousin of mine is a CPS Barrister. She does wear the headscarf at work, except when she’s in Court (for obvious reasons). Another cousin has an MSc in Nueroscience. She wears one at home but not in public.

TL:DR Most women do what they want. Trying to force them to do something else is a waste of time and a waste of energy. Another relative is a nurse in Orthopaedics- she wears an hijab all the time.

Bit of a theme there. hehe

It's almost as though telling people how they should/shouldn't dress meets resistance, who ever would have thought! biggrin

Countdown, you should grow a beard and start telling (no, *instructing*) her that she *has* to wear it and see where things go from there hehe

If it was that simple there wouldn’t be so many relationship threads elsewhere on PH.

OTOH maybe some PHers like DelBoy think it genuinely is the way to treat women, and then end up posting about SWT etc etc.....

I just find it a bit ironic how this forum is full of people who call others "snowflake" at the first opportunity and then moan because people with hair are represented in a shampoo advert.

Who'd have thought.
Projection. Always projection.

The people who shout the loudest about that kind of thing are always the first to take offence at something that doesn't affect them at all. Like a womens' shampoo advert.

She felt compelled to keep it on for the advert
Some here are going to lose it when they realise actors are "compelled" to wear clothes other than their own when they appear on TV laugh

It's a control thing. Make it out as if her wearing it is what you want and give off some smug self satisfied vibes when you see her walking out of the door covered up, and she'll be gallanting around town with her flowing hair and new found feminist ideals in no time! hehe

You are kidding! Show me a man who claims to have used reverse psychology on a woman successfully and I’ll show you a liar biggrin

Me : “darling, i think that Hijab really suits you, i think you should wear it more often”
Her :”Thanks hunnybunny! In that case I’ll but myself some more. Several more. In fact I will get a Hijab of many different colours. Like that bloke Joseph.....”

Woah woah, you need to work on your control game and make out as if you've suddenly found the light

You: "Good, you're covering up like I wanted. pbuh"
Her: "I know - it's great isn't it"

Day 3:
You: Feet up on the coffee table looking smug and self satisfied.
Her: Comes out of the bedroom with bright pink hair listening to the Sex Pistols and carrying a copy of feminism weekly.

Pretty sure that's how it works anyway hehe

I do wonder if a lot of girls wear them when they're having a bad hair day. If I could get away with wearing a tammy some mornings I would. hehe
