Hi all,

Do any of you produce 600gsm business cards?

I’m going to flying into London early February for a conference and need to have 400 cards made.

300 printed both sides
100 printed one side only

Ideally I would like to be able to have them ready and waiting at the hotel I’m staying at when I land.

Would any PHers take on this job?

If a PH'er can't do it then take a look at moo.com

Is this guy still around? I've tried to email him a few times recently to get some cards made but didn't get a response.

I think someone from here owns that?

The Lux style are really good.

Really nice cards. Get loads of comments on mine.

For no other reason than aesthetics. I'm not able to find them anywhere in the Philippines so decided to have them made whilst in the UK for a week.

Anything over say 450gsm tends to be two or three cards glued together. That's how they can make them with the coloured core.
The cheapest/quickest way of getting them done will be online through someone like print.com or moo.com.

A practical point - they look great, but you can't fit many in a wallet, box or holder. You give them to people and it's like giving them a piece of Formica!

I had very poor service from vista print years ago, on top of which they started charging me a monthly fee as their website automatically signed me up for something I wasn't aware of.

I needed business cards a few months ago and went on a mission to find a decent, fast alternative to vista print. I found 2 what looked to be promising leads via ukbusiness forums and it turned out those two had packed up!

Eventually, after lots of googling, I found instantprint (.co.uk) - I was last minute and I ordered in a rush with no idea what the quality would be like, and was suitably impressed when I received their business cards. Was very surprised they aren't high up on google considering their service was awesome.

Have a word with their customer service and see what they can do, they were quite helpful in making sure my express order got through to the printers even though I ordered after that day's deadline smile
