Dim view?
You are slipping beneath Self Service checkouts my friend in things I could smack with an old spunk sock.
You focus on the word Dim as apparently its not strong enough. Well i do apologise for not using the "right" or "approved liberal" wording to show my strength of feeling on the matter. You are slipping beneath Self Service checkouts my friend in things I could smack with an old spunk sock.
Could someone please send me the dictionary of approved liberal words so i don't make such an egregious mistake again please.

"One of the basic tools of fascism is the rigging of elections – we’ve seen that trialled in the election of Trump, in the Brexit referendum and (less successfully) in the French presidential elections"
Where's the question? That is a flat-out statement of fact without evidence. He is not saying "the election may have been rigged" he is asserting that it was.
edit: in fact it's worse than that - he's asserting that it was rigged by fascists.
We get it. You love brexit. Love it love it love it. Lovely big cuddly gammony Brexit. So if anyone says a word against it that you disagree with they are wrong about everything, including the danger of America sliding into authoritarianism.Where's the question? First it was anyone who isn't actively on this thread posting bad things about trump is a trump supporter and an utterly bad person and now this. But wait it is trump who is the fascist. This thread just keeps on giving...
Hey welcome. Good call and fear not they have MORE than enough angst and vitriol to share around with those who don't toe the line and follow the book of Liberalism.minimoog said:

There would be a reason for that but people seem too stupid to see it.minimoog said:

No, I just don't think the election was rigged by facsists - I was very concerned and still am by the anti immigration rhetoric in the UK and it's one of the reasons I left Byker28i said:

Which is why trumps been working so hard to fill the judicial places with judges favourable to his view. There we go, trumps achieved something he said he would do, ban the muslims.
The countries bannned make up less than 10% of the Muslim population, yet are all from failed states that didn’t improve their visa information / sharing. Iraq got itself off the list why couldn’t the others ?

Placing the primary blame for the murder elsewhere is pretty compelling evidence that you are an apologist for the murderer.
You are right. Looking back the way I phrased it certainly appears I am blaming the nutters actions on others which is not the case. What I was getting at is if you do not understand WHY something happened you cannot make sure it does not happen again.
Everyone blaming the Nazis "because they are Nazis" is stupid.
People are entitled to protest whether you agree with them and their views or not
That day COULD have been prevented had Antifa not turned up and engaged in violence against those they disagree with.
It is perfectly reasonable to suggest that had Antifa not turned up that day Heather Hayer would not have died and the other protesters the nutter ran over would not have got hurt either as there would not have been violence and the Nazi protest would not have been shut down very early.

Nazis need to be opposed everywhere they appear.

I don't buy that he wouldn't have ran his car into counter protestors if they weren't Antifa. He wasn't defending himself or others against violence he was trying to kill people he disagreed with.
On this we agree 100%. I also don't think the Brexit vote was rigged by fascists, but there is an open question as to how much foreign interests attempted to influence the discourse. But that's for another thread. It's tangentially relevant because, for those who hadnt noticed, there's rather lot of circumstantial evidence pointing to the same thing happening in the US andTrump enthusiastically buying into it for his own selfish purposes. Its not too much of a stretch to extrapolate a suspected attack on one country's election to those of other countries, using the same tactics and masterminded by the same people. Alright, person. minimoog said:

I don’t disagree that foreign powers wanted to influence the result of the election but it is wildly revisionist to suggest that’s an issue contained to the leave side.
