For writing a note?

As stupid as the author is, arresting her for this when so many more important things are let slide, is just as stupid.
This^ you can get your van broken into and have thousands of pounds of tools taken and the police to nothing.
Put a stupid harmless note on a ambulance they spend hours of the day dealing with it.

All that was needed was for someone to go round and tell the stupid bint how much of a tit she is.
Read the story properly.
Yep, the arrest wasn't just because of a poorly written note:

Chief Inspector John Owen of Staffordshire Police's Stoke-on-Trent North policing team said:
“We will not tolerate abuse or intimidation of our emergency services. This kind of behaviour is totally unacceptable and we will take appropriate action against offenders.

“The arrest relates to matters of verbal abuse that could constitute offences under the Public Order Act. This is not solely about the note.
(My bold)

And as for attacking fire engines, surely they,of all 3 services, have the ideal weapon to retaliate? smile
I would have thought that the police's guns, tasers & sprays would also be fairly good weapons for times like that.

I'd like to hope that a high-pressure hose were to be used on stone-throwers then the judge would take an amused view.
Fair point, but think of all the paperwork!
Trumpton just "trip" and accidently(wink wink) spray the scrotes. biggrin

When I saw that headline on BBC that they had her in custody I almost cheered. Well done to the Police concerned. Hope they get her for drugs whilst they are at it. Self entitled scum.

She probably thought the ambo was a Morrisons home delivery van.

Easy mistake to make (for the clearly retarded).

Are Morrisons drivers dressed similarly to paramedics?

Funny enough - yes they are.

Well, they wear green anyway.

Someone on Twitter mentioned she wrote van because she wasn't able to spell Ambulance!

"I couldn't give a st if the whole street collasped" - unless she thought Morrisons were somehow providing structural engineering services, it seems a safe bet that she was aware of the vehicle's purpose...

Morrisons don't tend to leave the blue lights flashing while they deliver your shopping, either.

I’ve seen a picture of the note. It’s written in that handwriting common to the bossy but interminably thick girls at school that didn’t end up staying past 16.
Bloody hell, you're right!

It's that 'thick bint' font I remember from school, too.

Or collapsed

Or work out how much space you need to complete a note.

She's obviously a classy lady.

I think the author gave a few verbal volleys to the staff too

It's missing the little hearts instead of dots on the i though.

Anyway - it's Ambiwlans. With an i.

Come on op - if you're going to criticise the woman at least spell the thread title correctly (although I'm pretty sure Ambulance is correct in Stoke).

I'm astonished nobody picked up on that in 3 pages. Things are slipping 'round here.

I think people were actually phoning for fire brigade in order to attack them frown
My friend works for West Mids Ambulance and they were called out to an ‘incident’ during the heavy snow a couple of months back. Arrived and were pelted with snowballs by youths who’d made the hoax call rolleyes The poor woman ended up with bruising on her back frown

Good on the Police for dealing with this utter cretinous moron.

I am staggered at some of the posts on here almost defending her. Though I shouldn't be surprised tbh.

I haven't seen the word 'tard' used either. Poor show all round if you ask me.
