Been happening since i bought her in October 2016, but at very slow speeds (typically less than 10mph) accelerating or braking I can hear what sounds like a small bottle rolling to and fro on the drivers side. Low down I think, but it's one of those noises you just can't accurately pinpoint hehe

So long shot, but any one else heard this kind of noise in a Vantage?

Unlikely, because I am sure that you will already know all about this , but might you be hearing the V8 low speed transmission chatter? Sometimes more evident on the twin plate clutch Vantages.

Hi Jon, thanks for the suggestion but no, definitely not transmission noise... really sounds like one of those miniature spirit bottles you get on aircraft, empty and rolling back and forth under the drivers seat or somewhere under/in the dash..... It's not crazing me, one day I'll try and pinpoint the exact source hehe

I had something similar.
Turns out it was a loose screw from the drivers side kickplate that was the cause.
Easily fixed.

Stating the obvious - but you have checked to make sure nobody has dropped something under the seat (been there, done that with my teenage son) ? smile

The guy at the dealer said it was quite common to have them coming loose and then rattling around inside.
Good luck

Have you tried slowly driving around an empty car park, turning different ways and also braking to a stop to see if you can isolate where its coming from?

If it is at sub 10mph and sounds like a bottle rolling then I have had that too......its one of the TPMS broken off inside the tyre. Drove me mad looking for the noise, tightening everything too no avail. Had the front tyres replaced and there it was rattling away. Goodness knows how it broke. My advice is to take the wheels off one at a time and rotate them to see if you can hear the rattle.

So, not a loose kick plate screw but thanks James....

Starting to think this is the most likely

Have now, but I simply can't pinpoint it accurately, it sounds like it's coming from the sill, the floor, the door, or in the dash frown Focusing on it now it can also sound like a 'tinkling' noise depending on the road surface, but it can definitely be heard moving off or decelerating at low road speeds. Sometimes it sounds like the keys jingling together.. but it isn't (that would be too easy)

Yet to investigate this possibility......

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, it's not driving me mad, so I can live with it for a while longer...

I had a similar sound turned out to be water ingress into a chassis rail after a lot of wet weather use.
A dry out and re seal of a joint cured it.
