Nothing too exciting, but Works have two Tarafs in the showroom and a Vanquish Zagato Volante (in a rather questionable brown).........

Kopi Bronze is my guess. They had a V12VR about a year ago in the same colour. Loved it.
I recall seeing that V12VR too.Must admit, if I were about to drop half a million quid on something, brown or bronze wouldn't be my first choice, but hey, i'm sure the guy or girl who did order it is happy enough, so fair play

Is that a useable cup holder in that left hooker?
Yep - Taraf is basically a Rapide with more rear legroom from it's longer wheelbase, larger rear door to help access, but a smaller boot, all in a bespoke bodyshell. I'm being a little crude, but it's not much of an exagerationBig Ry said:

Thanks for sharing Big Ry!Must admit that the Taraf is one of the most elegant 4 doors ever made. Doubt I’ll ever see one, which is a shame...

I thought that the Taraf was for the Middle Eastern market only. Did this change?
It did change - was opened up to all (or most) markets As nick says above, it is incredibly elegant - I've seen a couple in the flesh and from the outside, I think they are stunning - real presence and for it's size, pretty graceful
I think the interior is something of a let down though. Almost no differentiation from the very nice but significantly cheaper Rapide, the somewhat sporty rear seats seem a bit odd in such a huge car which I assume, you are meant to be driven in plus the boot is ridiculously small for such a big prestigious saloon.
I assume this is aimed at people who want to be seen in an ultra rare, very imposing car that makes a Phantom look cheap and common, rather than because it is a better car to be chaufered in as an A8 would be far better for that, let alone a Maybach/Phantom/Musanne/etc
Ry: can you share the asking price ? Not sure if it's sensitive or not ?
DVLA figures are confusing for the Taraf, but it appears there are fewer than 10 new registration Tarafs in the UK.
Google images repeatedly show the same three UK cars, the beige one at Works, a second beige one, and a black car.
Was the launch list price announced as about £696,000?
The limited edition number was initially to be 200, then reduced to 120, but by March 2017 only 48 had been built.
A very special car, but certainly a steep price for a 4 door saloon. The stretched S-class is under £200,000.

Well, if this isn´t exciting, then I don´t know what ... Lagonda Taraf ... and two of them at that! The only car design by Mr Reichman so far that fully convinced me
Strange, that nothing was ever heard again of this model: Is it still being produced? Is/was it a sales flop? How many have been made?
ETA: Double thanks, Jon39, for the statistics! I have to type quicklier.

Why didn't the new Vantage have a Taraf front end
I really would have liked that! Elegant, stylish, conservative.Edited by Emilio Largo on Thursday 22 February 20:20

Unless your camera flipped all the images - all three are left hand drive? That seems a bit odd.
The Taraf was intended originally for the middle east only, so they possibly never tooled it for RHD. I know it's based on the Rapide so it's possible, but probably not worth it for the tiny handful of cars they'd sell in those markets.I know the Zagato was made in RHD though.
A couple of years ago Mrs Damianke went up the Goodwood hill in a Taraf as guest of Aston Martin at the FOS. Blindingly quick, apparently, when driven by one of the works drivers. Scariest thing ever going past the Flint Wall at the top of the hill. But she loved it. Proper petrolhead...
