This thing above the garage door

Drips all over the door handle, lock, door and cill. I've just replaced the corroded handle and lock and I'll repaint the cill. Thinking of mounting something like this, £25 ebay special directly underneath biggrin unless anyone has any better ideas?

I've read online that the flue should be 300mm above the porch. Is this correct?

...and it's supposed to slope back down to the boiler. So it doesn't drip!

I put a spirit level on it, hardly any fall. (non condensing)

Without digging out my work technical guides the only guidance I am aware of that is 300mm is how far away a flue is from an openable window, door, vent to inside etc.

Look up the installation instructions unless you still have the paper copy

Ah! I assumed it was a condenser.

Attach a chain/cable/whatever between it and the drain and it'll run down it.

Unless it's blowing a gale.....

I only clicked this thread because I thought it was about the bad cold I picked up from that rough old bird down the local Ritzy.

No drain handy, I've hung a bucket over it for now. The splashing has actually etched the glass on the door! So don't know how well a £25 ebay canopy will stand up.

I may make something more substantial with wood and roofing felt. biggrin
