What scares me more is seeing a post in a local residents group, the numbers of people that seem to believe the "murdering" line is truly astonishing.

What annoys me more is the use of emotion to win an argument. So often in life it's impossible to have a logical debate when emotive statements that aren't helpful are thrown in to counter science and facts.

Some protester got his head kicked in during the Charlie Gard thing didn't he iirc - was waving pics of dead children or something at other parents going into the hospital to see their sick kids.

What on earth drives the rent-a-mobs apart from nutty religion, I've no idea.

Have a friend who's daughter is in AH - she had to drop her other child off with relatives and get back to the eldest daughter as soon as possible, protestors had blocked the road and she couldn't move for a while.

Seriously need to get the police locking a few up, I don't mind a protest but when they are disrupting hundreds of other parents it's wrong

Religion is enough.

When you suspend your rationality to believe in one irrational thing, its easier to be irrational about other things.

The police should have been out there removing them from the site. How can anyone think a protesting mob outside a children's hospital is a good idea?

Though I guess it's just an extension of the same selfish attitude that they have towards a suffering child.
It's the snowflake/gofundme/self-entitled generation.
Unfortunately in the middle of this is a gravely sick child.

The pro life groups have hijacked this for their own agenda including the usual USA nutters.

They probably offered a lifeline to the parents and arranged a meeting with the Pope.
I doubt if either parents are devout Catholics, they are just grasping any chance possible.

Also the hospital in the Vatican will not TREAT Alfie because there is no tratment, just administer palliative care.

The cynic in me feels that the father is going to milk this as much as possible once the child has passed away. I can't see him grieving with dignity in private.

I hope the media don't pander to him.
I imagine he will fade back into obscurity once the "army" have moved on to their next crusade.

I can just about understand the parents clutching at any straw they can grab hold of, but the motivation of the "army" I really struggle with.

To me it seems the parents are being manipulated by groups with an agenda with a bunch of deluded grief tourists adding to the mix.

Has a donation page been set up yet?

Seems to be the norm. The funds obviously get returned or donated to charity if not used for the kiddo...

Alfies Army pearls of wisdom being exchanged.

Annemarie Annie Yousaf **Repost** Loni-ann Robinson Tom he sustained an hour and 30 minutes so far after 30 minutes they have to medically intervene he is sustaining life there for the brain is not damaged as bad as they say. Each one of them doctors and nurses had to take an oath and sign a contract they have just breached this by refusing treatment he is sustaining and only needing oxygen not ventilation there for he is alive and there for they have no choice but to intervene cause the doctors and nurses arnt this is now murder and a breach of medical practice so u can now ask the police outside ur room to arrest those who have refused his treatment look up sustaining life laws and when they should oxygenate and the oaths and contracts they have to sign and take. They are now medically neglecting your son you now can legally take him and do them for malpractice

Social cleansing really wouldn’t be a bad thing at times, if only someone with a dodgy tache could carry it out...

This is a complete fking circus now, chav scum bags taking their benefit state know it all know fk all approach to life and extending that view into something they really really know nothing about! And that’s just the parents.

I’ve every sympathy for their situation, but this now stinks more of carrying on getting the attention they e drummed up rather than doing the best for their kid, and there’s nothing lower than that. It’s on par with Jade Goody even cashing in on her own death while the useless father is nowhere to be found.

Will this child actually have a chance of life?
Or will it spend it hooked to machine slowly dying anyway?

70% of his brain is mush, AIUI. No fixing that.
