It seems people are being criticized for using a small number of extreme examples to portray an entire group and highlight how the system is broken and perhaps things should be changed or looked.

I can understand the criticism in away, but all we've had for the last week or so on the MSM is small number of extreme examples of individuals adversely affected by our immigration policies being rolled out in front of the cameras. And the narrative which seems to be being portrayed is that our entire immigration system is now cruel and wrong because of it.
These examples have been thrown up for years.

The narrative is that the leadership of that system have implemented arbitrary targets to "measure performance". Like the education and health system, targets tend to lead to practices that enable the worker being measured to hit the targets.

The targets set for immigration agents mean that they're approaching each and every case they deal with with a bias to deport the person; instead of looking at each case and assessing it on the evidence provided.

OK lets say i am a bigot because i don't like young lower-class persons typified by brash and loutish behavior (chavs)... if that makes me a bigot (so what) then why can't you see the bigot in people like Del Mar or yourself?......strange that....

I am a bigot towards many people....but i don't do that on the basis of the skin colour or just because they were not born here....
Deflecting away from your own bigotry? I haven't made any statements, just wondered why you pigeonhole someone for having a z in his forum name.

Definitely not a chav here, self employed graduate etc. But a bigot apparently. And incidentally, skin colour is NOT a determination of faith or culture, so why say it?. My original point was that most Muslims are just as bigoted as anyone else. Someone else posted that in twenty years, groups will integrate more. I doubt it, Islam only allows for superficial integration. Whether that's actually a problem or not we'll see. What narks me is when the usual suspects say 'well what is British culture?' Or 'why are you scared of change? Or 'we are we are all immigrants anyway if you go back far enough' etc. Like a country with our history doesn't have a culture. It's patronising. It's always the same, any criticisms of 'thier' culture and you are a bigot, but we are 'scared of change'.

“Islam only allows superficial integration “..... rofl

Do you genuinely not notice the Muslims around you in EVERY MAJOR CITY every day...? Speaking the same language, wearing the same clothes, listening to the same music, Going to school, going to work, going out... ?

What’s your definition of integration?

At least you are honest that your prejudice is mainly against muslims. Del Mar is the same but he won't admit it.

Not sure why people need to hide their prejudices under thinly veiled guises.

- Beards only if you're a hipster
- Muslim women need to be careful what they wear, but other women can wear what they want (cos it's 2018 and no man should be dictating what a woman wears innit) #metoo
- Muslims shouldn't only eat their 'own' food, but vegans and vegetarians can eat what they want.
- Muslims shouldn't go to mosque on Fridays, but should instead go for a drink after work. There is no such thing as an English man who does not drink.
- If you are a hardworking muslim and you live next to a bigot, you are alright mate. The enemy are the chavvy, beardy, shouty, rapey, taxi drivers who live in the dail mail front page. All of them, yes. Same goes for going to a strip club in Vegas with your English mate - you are all right mate.
- If you dare criticise any part of British culture you are effectively a traitor. Embrace it all. But it's ok to criticise the status quo if you're 'ethnically british'

I don't know what the guys on about, I've been on here 14 years, with the exact same sign in name. Seems some people just can't accept the concept of a public forum and resort to personal insults.

For someone who has, supposedly only been here for 5 months, you claim to know a lot about posters in PH history.

On another note, the word is 'their'. I thought people as bright as how you imagine yourself, would have known that.

This talk of "hating chavs". How exactly would you recognize a "chav" in the street?

What would the obvious differences be between a "chav" and someone just wearing sportswear and may be on £100k and just left the gym in tracksuit bottoms and a hoody?

Exactly..... now apply that logic to the posters who hate all Muslims because of some they once drove past in Bradford.......

See.....can you see what i was doing?

I agree with you BTW.

Yet you said you "hate all chavs"?

I was just asking how you would know what one looked like.

But yet you don't feel the need to ask why someone would hate all Muslims?

Out of interest really how many of you (white born and bred brits) have taken an ancestry type dna test?
It's quite an interesting thing to do. I've learned I'm only approximately 30% "British" (northern/midlands) and am mainly German /Austrian and Irish heritage apparently. A few trace bits of Scandinavian and Russian too. I had no idea :-)
Maybe it should be compulsory !

Personally I think we should ensure as far as practicable that immigration is managed properly and affordable, but still available not a free for all as it often appears.
