Excellent to see the hard left once again taking aim squarely at it's own foot.
How so Timmy? What's wrong with the term? Are you equating it to racial abuse?
Not at all, if Corbynites want to use that term for those who have different politics it's up to them. Just saying it's going to do them no favours at all.
It’s not hard left nor Corbynites using it and it’s not used to describe someone with different politics. It’s simply a word to describe people that look like this in the QT audience.

You seem awfully offended. Which one are you?

I'm really, really desperate for you to be awfully offended. Which one are you?
EFH.

And no. I'm really not.

They really are very "pink" indeed aren't they?

I'm worried about some of them, they don't look healthy...

White, middle aged, tax payers then. I'd think they'd probably take it as a compliment.

It's slightly ironic that you see everyone with different views to you as a Corbynite. I'm quite happy to use it and I am no Corbynite by any measure. The man's plainly a complete nutcase.

I think the camera adds gammon.

If I had to define "gammon", I would probably include a tendency to throw around insults like "snowflake", or use phrases like "political correctness gone made". So I'm struggling to feel a lot of sympathy for that porcine population if they are now the subject of a puerile term of abuse.

No different to the abuse/piss taking I've put up with all my life being ginger. Well it is different I suppose because people choose to be angry opinionated bigots, which inevitably turns their little faces gammon pink.

Loads of gammon on the PH brexit threads.
Tim Minchin has a nice song about it : "Only a Ginger can call another Ginger 'Ginger'"

I don't. However the phrase has been adopted rapidly by Corbyns following online. As has been widely reported.

Ah, so thats why you treat anyone who dares to disagree with you, with an avalanche of pompous arrogance. I thought your attitude seemed familiar, and I was right, more than a little devious and dishonest to change ones handle as you have. , very sad.

Looking online I see that one of the suggested causes is working outside, which would usually be a work place of the working class.

Nothing strange at all about the party founded to represent the working man having thought up a term to denigrate older working class men idea

Reminiscent of the time that Thornberry expressed her snobbish disapproval of a council house with a St George's flag on it. These cant be Labour people, far too common smile

Not a fan of the traditional 1970's pineapple ring accompaniment?
They were for posh people and we couldn't afford them in the 70's.

My handle changes when my car changes, and is related to my current daily driver as was my last handle and the one before that. It's a car forum. And it doesn't matter unless you're looking to attack individuals rather than discuss arguments.

Looking at the prime gammon pictured above, I think that's trying a bit too hard to play the class card.

'Snowflake' / 'gammon' are simply ad hominem attacks, and indicative of being unable to put forward an argument to support a viewpoint.
Ah, like calling people racists, when the caller has no idea, of those they call racist , views.

You think you can tell their social background from those pictures. confused

Anyhow as Napoleon said "never interrupt an enemy when he is making a mistake". I look forward to the next insult Labour supporters dream up to describe the people the party was formed to represent.

And whose votes they will need to get anywhere near to obtaining the keys of No10.

Does that happen much - people blurting “racist” for no reason - like someone with Tourette’s?
