I’m confused. These idiots are white, and by the reports so far, don’t seem to fit into the typical ideal of “inner city deprived”. And yes, we’re getting loads of reports of what lovely chappies they were, despite being vandals. If there was a chance that their estates had anything in them, I’d fully support going after the assets.

I think you need to calm down. The lack of sympathy is because these 3 men died as a result of engaging in criminal activity coupled with being stupid.

In recent years we have been told to feel sorry for someone when they are killed because they are a promising footballer, DJ, Urban free climber or some other bks when in fact they all tend to have died due to crime or links to crime. Mark Duggan was described as a promising footballer which white washed the fact he was also a drug dealer and a viloent one at that.

The colour of skin has nothing to do with it an nore should it.

I haven’t made any comment on whether or not the people in this incident deserve sympathy or not.

I made a general observation about two particular posting styles which permeate a certain section of NPE.

My views on the specific topic at hand.

I think people who do stupid things have to accept the consequences and I also think that stupidity frequently is incredibly selfish as others have to deal with said consequences.

There are very few people who I believe “deserve to die”.

I suspect that these guys knew they were in a very dangerous area, where there was no refuge at all should a train come down the line.
They would have done this partly because the area would have been a blank canvas. But mainly because they would have got a lot of kudos from their peers for taking such a risk.

They got it very wrong. I don't have a great deal of sympathy for them but I feel for their parents who must see this as a complete waste.

Why do people say this? A stupid tt or complete ahole in life can't be absolved from having been a stupid tt or complete ahole just because they've started pining for the fjords, especially not if their death was a direct result of their cretinism.

Why should thetoxicnerve go around saying his granny was a slag when she probably wasn't? We have some pretty substantial evidence from the news report that the three deceased were criminal scumbags.
