Alysha Macphail- 6 yr old missing on Scottish Island

Sadly found dead only a few hours after going missing from top floor flat of her grandparents on a "remote" Scottish Island, in the grounds of an abandoned hotel, some 20 mins walk away.
A very tragic case, but just all sounds a bit odd, how the article is written, like they know something they can't write?

Bute isn't remote except in the minds of lazy, tedious, metrocentric tabloid hacks, you can get to Rothesay from Glasgow in about 90 minutes. A small child found dead in a derelict building during the day as a result of play/exploring gone wrong may be tragic but innocent; the tragedy of a small child found dead in a derelict building at night has more sinister overtones.
Still, the way this is being reported is a little odd. Not being pushed as a big story at all, but mention of here school being "where her mother lived". Not where the "family" lived?
You'd think the thought of a child murderer on the loose on a Scottish Island would have Kay Burley and the Sky News Helicopter up there 24 hours a day.
I suspect more is known about this than they are letting on. Police appealing for people who assisted in the search to come forward to let them know what they "saw and heard"? Very odd

Yeah agree with something being not quite right...! It's quite big news a 6 yo girl being murdered but yet not much in the news or what has happened.
The police are being very cagey on replies to the questions being asked so i think they must know more than they are saying until i guess they have more evidence.

Just cant imagine the mind of someone who could commit such a horrific crime, you would have to be without
any compassion in your soul whatsoever, how could any human being be so wickedly cruel.
This is an example whereby the monster that took this innocent little girls life should have the same done to them,
how could anyone say they don't deserve lethal injection once caught and proved to be the killer.
The sooner this vile piece of scum is caught and identified the better.

Family related? Has to be what they think, surely? The police are being very cagey on replies to the questions being asked so i think they must know more than they are saying until i guess they have more evidence.

a massive place, and you can rest assured once in prison their life is going to be a true hell on earth, rightfully so.

Blimey, if that is their thinking, it's surprising it has not been reported yet.

My fiver is on the 'grandad'
She was staying with her Dad and his parents. The more I read about this poor little girl the more I think a family member was involved. This scenario has played out so many times over the years. What ever happened an innocent girl has lost her life, I hope they catch who ever did this (unless it does turn out to be a tragic accident) otolith said:

Indeed. Unless more have been placed there it's just a single family; quite why that's the obvious 'go-to' choice of perpetrator when statistics point to family members or you could point a finger at the alleged policy of using Rothesay as an unofficial dumping ground for anti-social types from other scottish council areas. Or we could just let the polis get on with it.
Apparently there were 70 Syrians on Bute as of Oct 2017Not sure if more have arrived since as a couple of families were complaining that Bute was where old people went to die, that they couldn't get arabic foodstuffs, and that they felt forced to integrate. Basically they wanted to be in London or Manchester for their free stuff
