My football stream has been taken over by a Trump interview. Him saying religious places of worship should have armed guards.
Really?

Thinks more guns and more death penalties will sort it out.

"It's a shame"

No, what is a shame is that the USA has got to this state where it is ridiculed day in and day out of the internet because they seem to be more and more a backward country of the 19th C with technology from the 21st C.

The answer is always more guns. Followed by thoughts and prayers and then more guns.

Trump (from CNN): "If there was an armed guard inside the temple, they would have been able to stop him," he said to reporters before boarding a flight to a Saturday rally.

CNN also reports that six people were injured by the shooter.

Four were police officers.

That’s a high IQ President for you, right there.

'That sign we have on the front of the Statue of Liberty, "Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses..." can't we just say, "Hey, the door's open, we'll take whoever you got"? Do we have to specify the wretched refuse? I mean, why don't we just say, "Give us the unhappy, the sad, the slow, the ugly, people that can't drive, that they have trouble merging, if they can't stay in their lane, if they don't signal, they can't parallel park, if they're sneezing, if they're stuffed up, if they're clogged, if they have bad penmanship, don't return calls, if they have dandruff, food between their teeth, if they have bad credit, if they have no credit, missed a spot shaving, in other words any dysfunctional defective slob that you can somehow cattle prod onto a wagon, send them over, we want 'em."'

What odds we're going to see an incident like this at a voting centre? Trump had tweeted derogatory and disparaging things about all those who received letter bombs, and has likewise been amplifying right wing coverage of the immigrant caravan, including a video Rep Matt Gaetz posted hypothesising NGOs and/or Soros were giving them money. It does now feel like Alex Jones is POTUS, and I do wonder whether this sort of chaos is what Trump actually wants, given comment he and Bannon made in the past? We know he admires strong men, and the more he can point to these sorts of attacks and pin them on his favourite boogeymen, the more chance he has to do something seemingly "tough" about it.

A lovely little summation of trump. Unable to cope with something very basic, leaves it for someone, anyone else, to deal with.

He's a destroyer. That's how he gets his kicks.

Once again, trumps rhetoric has consequences.
Trump has been using the refugee caravan in Mexico as a threat to the nation, making baseless claims. Bolton is pushing for U.S. military intervention.
The Pittsburgh shooter was motivated by a sense that the U.S. is endangered by refugees, in association with the Jews.

It won't possibly be anything to do with him though. Hate cleric trump.

And of course there was the bloke touching up a sleeping woman on a plane who said "It's fine, President Trump says it's ok to grab them by the pussy".

And who does trump blame for this.

It's not his fault for dividing the country, preaching hate. It's not the gunmans fault, who had his house repossessed by mnuchin bank, not racists, anti semantics.

Nope, trump blames the victims. It's all their fault for not having an armed guard, ignoring that police had to shelter behind their vehicles and three were shot.

Some reports say the shooter used an AR-15 to shoot 3 highly trained SWAT team members...

More voting issues, where in this case votes appeared to be changed to Cruz, the official response is it's the voters fault because they aren't waiting for the page to fully render...

The President on palm trees and hurricanes:

"With them it's like ho-hum. Did you ever see? Everything's gone except the palm trees. Because they've been hit by hurricanes for two million years and they see a hurricane coming and they just go pooom-booom... Can't knock those suckers over. Every palm tree is standing. There's nothing you can do to those suckers. And that's life. That's sort of, in a way, what you think of it, that's what you do."

Reading the article even the democrats accept it is a machine problem that may be down to user error. They have asked for extra signs and training to avoid the issue and any machines that are genuinely faulty to be replaced.

Even they are not suggesting this is fraudulent as it has been reported that votes cast for both side appear to have changed. What they do about it now will be interesting if it is a close result.

You don't have to overtly state something to show where your sentiments lie.

They are printing the book on bound snowflakes, I hope you can read quickly. Find it in the "kids stories" section of Waterstones.

The American system of democracy and its abuse/suffocation by their politicians got them to where they are today. Whatever the rights and wrongs of Trump you cannot get away from the fact that 50% (+/-) of Americans did not want Hillery and her "type" of politics.

I have yet to see any change in the losing side to indicate any acknowledgement of that or the reasons why they are in the position they are in..
