Elon Musk and Pedo Cave Rescuer Claim.
Discussion
One bloke who tried to help decided for no reason to attach another bloke who tried to help. Then that bloke who tried to help went full on retard mode and said the other one was a paedophile. It's like some sort of rubbish you'd see on Jeremy Kyle.
I think the pair of them are an embarrassment. I used to live in Thailand - (I'm not into children). And I know a couple of guys who really were doing the rescue work (lived on the same Island as them as a diving instructor). The bloke who is knocking Musk didn't actually participate in getting the kids out - and musks 'invention' was useless. Neither have the right to make it about them.

at this point though do we separate muskrat the from Musk the inventor whose ideas are (in the main!) very worthy and worth following up on?
Musk isn't an inventor, and never has been. The only thing Musk has done from zero by himself was an early website that was a "city guide" (Zip2.com) which he sold for a stload within four years of launch, mostly because of good deals the company did with newspapers for content; and an online bank (x.com - which, just four months after starting, merged with a rival whose product, PayPal, became the name of the joint business - Musk was promptly sacked as CEO post-merger). Neither was in any way an original idea.
Everything else has been him putting money into pre-existing businesses and technologies, including Tesla (Musk came onto the board when he put a load of money in) and SpaceX (Musk and a partner started by buying Soviet missiles in the early 00s). He then hires good engineers to do the inventing.

“Thailand-based Mr Unsworth's knowledge of the cave complex is said to have played a key role in the rescue effort. He travelled into the caves in the first days after the boys went missing and helped bring in top international cave rescue experts for the mission.
Mr Unsworth had earlier said the mini-sub built by Mr Musk's team, and flown to Thailand before being rejected as inappropriate for the rescue mission by Thai officials, would have had "absolutely no chance of working".”

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/6792661/who-vernon-unsworth-thai-cave-rescue-pedo-guy-elon-musk/Mr Unsworth was the first foreign rescuer at the scene and played a crucial role in saving the 12 boys and their football coach.
He spent years exploring the Tham Luang cave system where the boys were trapped for 17 days, meaning he had expert knowledge that was vital to the rescue.

Has the PH contingent of Elon arse lickers tried to defend him yet?
I'm embarrassed to admit I'm a huge fan of Musk, or should say was. I don't believe his critics actually understand what he has acheived with spacex alone. This whole sorry episode is spectacularly poor form and rather depressing.REALIST123 said:

Yeah - he didn't do a single bit of diving. Not a single bit. “Thailand-based Mr Unsworth's knowledge of the cave complex is said to have played a key role in the rescue effort. He may have briefed the english lads (I don't know them) on what the cave is like. But I'm slightly perplexed why he didn't assist with the search if he knew it so well...
Now I think Musk is a grade a tool for saying what he did. But I also think that he probably did want to help. I don't think there was any need for the bloke to sound of like he did. I can't comment if the invention would have worked (I doubt it). But why mouth of about someone trying to get attention - when you are effectively trying to say you were involved in the rescue? The real guys who did it are not back running their businesses - not gobbing off and acting up to journalists.

Using your logic Edison, arguably the world's greatest inventor, didn't invent anything after he invented the first industrial r&d lab (Menlo park). I’m a fan of Musk and his vision and results. BUT He has made a huge error of judgement
This looks like someone deflecting from what they're actually angry about (Tesla's finances and ever-increasing number of problems) on to someone that seemed easy to squash (powerless bloke from nowhere).
To believe that the only reason for a middle-aged bloke to live in Thailand is to have sex with children tells us a lot more about Musk than it does about the diver.
This may be his undoing. And if he goes, then Tesla is f'ed; it's only the Musk cult that keeps it going.

Musk could easily get out of this mess. Apologise publically for his behaviour - saying he acted foolishly after being hurt given he tried to help. Offer of money to charities both for the british cave rescue council - and also for kids who are abused etc... And then just talk about how amazing the guys who actually did the rescue are. People would soon get over it.
But his ego got him into this mess. And his ego won't let him get out of it.

Or I suspect in today's 24hr media cycle just do nothing and it'll be forgotten about by Friday. And if by some remote chance a libel case comes his way, settle it tied to a gagging order.
