I can’t help but think “lucky cow!”

It’s not a grown up or learned response, I know.

She may be lucky in this instance, but she's still 'her'.

No thanks, she's still a scumbag treating everyone with contempt.

I wonder what the reasoning behind that is.

That is surprising given Huhne and Pryce got 8 months each even though they pleaded guilty. I thought pleading guilty got you a reduction?

The Old Bailey was told Fiona Onasanya had been texting on her phone when she was spotted speeding, in July 2017
Was that accusation true?

Where's the link to the appeal being dismissed?

Doesn't make much difference. Just the formality of her own appeal into the conviction to get out of the way, and then the people of Peterborough can get on with unseating her via the recall petition. If they are disallowed that chance because she somehow is allowed and then wins her appeal against conviction, they'll still bin her off at the next general election. It's just a question of how much she manages to take from the public purse in undeserved wages in the meantime.

Application for permission to appeal against conviction on 5.3.2019.

I wonder if the key Brexit votes will be taken before her curfew comes in?

Expected to be freed from HMP Bronzefield early on Tuesday morning, after serving just 28 days inside.

Sounds quite nice in this description, not much difference from a stay in a Premier Inn really.

I note that it doesn't seem to have any cells, only rooms.

What an embarassing day for justice in the UK, this liar let out after less than a third of her sentence despite her pleading not guilty and forcing it to a retrial; and Katie Price teaching us all how to get off a drink driving charge, both on the same day. Amazeballs.

Labour are in a by-election mode. Wonder if they be as vocal in this case.

She's not a Labour MP any more ... they stated when they kicked her out they wanted a by-election.

Off-topic but I don't see any of the political parties needing the chaos of a by-election right now whatever they might be saying!

They have been. She was chucked out by them straight after conviction and they said they wanted a by-election.
