I'd be inclined to agree with you but you meet people who 'love' Corbyn and they really haven't a clue - they just hear 'free st' and lap it up without any further thought.

Foot was hardly a tramp and compared to Corbyn wasn't a mad ideologue; as leader of the opposition he voted with the government to approve the use of military force to remove Argentina from the Falklands. Just an old fashioned socialist; in favour of nationalising things, council houses and organised labour.
