Does this mean there’s going to be a ‘people’s vote’ in Chuka’s constituency? Surely he’ll have no objection to that.

Last night, three of the MPs widely rumoured to be involved in the plans for an initial breakaway – Angela Smith, Chris Leslie and Luciana Berger

Luciana Berger is a Liverpool MP. She is one of the MP's who has required additional security after calling out some of the anti semitism within the party. She is massively respected within her community and the city of Liverpool in general. A good person who does not forget who she actually represents.

Appreciate you may not otherwise know who she is, but I would say that is the sign of a good MP. Like football referees, if all goes well, you shouldnt even notice them

Lucian Berger's father is a friend of Tony Blair and she had some association with Euan Blair she was parachuted into Liverpool Wavertree much to the annoyance of the local Labour Party which is very much more left of Centre than she is.

Veggie curry?

Just kill me now.
What on earth is wrong with a veggie curry? Nearly a third of Indians are vegetarian, lots of fantastic veggie curries around.

She's the Jewish Labour MP who had to have police security to attend the Labour party conference last year.

Liverpool Wavertree was my father's birthplace. When he was born and for much of his life thereafter it was a rabid hotbed of socialism mixed with Liverpool/Scottish and Liverpool/Irish marching bands. Even I, as a mere child, was the mascot on two occasions - marching at the front (the 'point' in historical scouse) in full sporran and 'Sgian-dubh' down my sock. Absolutely spine-tingling. How times have changed.

Yeah, she was one of 'Blair's babes.' We had one stuffed into our constituency as well.

It was in Liverpool as I remember yet Comrade Corbyn and his devotees never seemed to think this was a problem.

Surprised nobody commented on this Corbyn tweet.

The future of Venezuela is a matter for Venezuelans. @Jeremy_Hunt's call for more sanctions on Venezuela is wrong. We oppose outside interference in Venezuela, whether from the US or anywhere else.

There needs to be dialogue and a negotiated settlement to overcome the crisis.
Ironic given labours backing of violent protest in the UK to overthrow the democratically elected government. May be it's only a matter for the people when you get the right kind of socialists in power.

In April 2018 John McDonnell tried to assure the City that Labour did not have a "shadow manifesto" that it was keeping hidden until after an election.
It does.
This is it.
Full details are in my article, extracts here in this long (apologies) thread...

Scary stuff... it would be good if Labour were a bit clearer about how they would avoid the utter drubbing at the next general election after doing any of that stuff.

By not having one...?

It's not scary in itself - as in, anyone with half a brain wouldn't vote for them, therefore...

The scary bit is lots of people will still vote for them.

When does the concerted plotting for the violent downfall of the established society become treason? Maybe the security services have taken steps to monitor a perceived threat in the same way as they have for other terrorist groups.

Exactly. This would be their one and only chance. They won't let go if they get in, because they know what's good for them and good for us.

yes and what isn't good is for you to have a say in how you spend your money so they will take it off you to protect you from yourself
