Labour will offer a second referendum with the choice of Remain or BRINO.
It's a feeble attempt to appease the Labour leavers.

It all boils down to Labour policy being the option left after all the other parties have declared theirs. It’s an interesting way to try and run a, so called, serious political party!

Momentum behind a motion to vote out the Labour Deputy Leaders position and rid themselves of Tom Watson, according to the BBC.

Yeah. Crazy stuff. Squealer on Newsnight right now justifying it.

The NEC meeting tonight sounds like the behaviour of the politburo circa 1920.

Momentum’s argument is that he is wrecking Corbyn’s chance of winning an election. Sure *thats* why Corbyn would be an electoral nightmare hehe

I’m intrigued as to how Watson will respond. Can’t see him walking to the libdems but I’d be interested to see if the PLP fractures.

Jeez, momentum believe they can win the next GE just by appealing to its core. It’s as if they’ve never heard of the centre ground where elections are won and lost.

At a time when they need to show solidarity, cohesion and a consistent message in the face of a government which is eating itself into parody, they decide to shoot themselves in both feet and then wonder why their shoes no longer fit.

He has undermined Corbyn a few times so no surprise - just the other day he went against Corbyn on a peoples vote.

I think there’s a decent chance that this motion will be withdrawn or not voted on.

Absolutely. Can you imagine a party where they remove anyone who refuses to absolutely toe the party line? I can’t remember a time when another party has ever done this. Well not in the last month anyway.

outrageous attack on Diane Abbott in the Express claiming she is igniting the anti Semitism thing.
the article just falls short of photoshopping her into a KKK outfit.

https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1179689/labour-a...

The shadow home secretary is scheduled to speak alongside pro-Palestinian activist Omar Barghouti at Labour Party conference fringe event in Brighton on Sunday night. Mr Barghouti, co founder of the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement, once described Israeli tactics as being “reminiscent of common Nazi practices against the Jews

What the article doesn't explain is that Diane Abbott simply confused him with Omar the 1990s soul singer.

It's a strange one isn't it?

It's so transparent that it is nothing to do with the post and entirely to do with the incumbent.

It'll probably succeed that lot are so far gone.

They have already voted yesterday, they had a majority, but not the 2/3rds they required under party rules, so may have another vote today after strong arming some who voted the wrong way.

They'll change the rules or raise a motion to expel the ones who don't tie the line?

For good measure Tom " you are a nonce and I'll prove it" Watson has brought religious imagery into the attempt to crucify him

"He said: "It's a straight sectarian attack on a broad church party"

Nothing like trying to link it to dark days in Northern Ireland etc
Just what is it with these politicians.
Still if he does get ousted or resigns he could probably go over onto TV and host a Historic Sex abuse case probe of the week type show
As you can gather I am not a fan of Tom Watson. Or of momentum they are all a crock of ste

I wasn't a fan of his because of what he got up to with Max Mosley. I think he is just presented as a "moderate voice of reason" because he is opposed to Corbyn.

He is one of the worst of the opportunist politicians in this country, he gets an easy ride from the media purely because of his centrist politics. If he was any further left they would have destroyed him long ago, the shameful abuse of parliamentary privilege alone should have been a career ender.

For once job well done by Momemtum if they succeed, never thought I would be saying that.

Corbyn has called off the hounds, for now.

I'm not sure that's correct - how can Watson be against Corbyn if Corbyn himself doesn't know what Corbyn is for?
