Climate change: Worries over CO2 emissions from intensifying wildfires

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-462...

Rising numbers of extreme wildfires could result in a significant increase in CO₂ emissions, scientists warn.
That could mean attaining the Paris climate agreement's goal of keeping global temperature rise well below 2C could become harder, they say.
Present emission-cut pledges by countries are projected to increase the average global temperature rise by more than 3C by the end of the century.
That would lead to dangerous climate change impacts, experts say.
These include sea level rise, drought, wildfires, among other extreme events.
"We can't neglect the emissions from wildfires," says Ramon Vallejo, a scientist specialising on fire ecology with the University of Barcelona.
"Particularly now that we are seeing intense wildfires all around the world.".........continues

Er, have they ever heard of Volcanos?

They all currently work in the field. I can’t even begin to imagine what it must be like when all of your colleagues at your place of employment say you’re wrong and then write to the President of the United States to say so. hehe

Still, some can handle the shame and some can’t.

Sadly he couldn’t get a similar amount of Climate Scientists to write defending him.

So, to quote you I believe, Back under your bridge troll.

"France is bracing for a nationwide revolt over the weekend as angry drivers plan to block roads nationwide in protest against the government’s carbon tax and rising fuel prices. The French government approved a measure in late 2017 increasing a direct tax on diesel as well as a tax on carbon, allegedly to fight against climate change. The so-called Contribution Climat Énergie (CCE), a French version of the carbon tax, has steadily increased fuel prices in recent years. Two-thirds of French people expect a 'social explosion' in coming months."

I’m not so sure, I’d have to check back through these lists you think I like.

I couldn’t care less about some obscure post from a denier. The more important text is in the letter to the president from real climate scientists. wink

Yeah, it was poor. Still, I won’t have to wait long if I want a second crack at it. Your next BBC post will be along shortly I’m sure.

Same parrot words. The BBC publishes news. Or it's supposed to. Propaganda is not its remit. What devastating ‘fact’ supporting AGW and CC have you posted recently. Or ever. Still a believer. Oh hail the mighty scientists. (Keep the grants rolling in).

Some Global warming protests today in London.

Any of you cult members going down to read BBC and GPWF articles to them?

Should be easy as you’re all aparently retired and unemployed. Might be nice for some of you to have a day out and get some fresh air?

You can only protest and demonstrate if you have a record of at least 10 others protests in the past 10yrs. Being on benefits is a bonus. Failing your 11plus, and thus being pig ignorant about any aspects of AGW & CC allows you to address the audience via a loudspeaker.

Example of pig ignorant

Tiana Jacout, of Extinction Rebellion, said the blockages were "not a step we take lightly" but "if things continue as is, we face an extinction greater than the one that killed the dinosaurs".

Er, the dinosaurs lived for about 50,000,000yrs, with CO2 about 3-5 times higher than now, and a warmer planet.

I assume you passed your 11 plus and so have a more valid opinion on climate change?

Merely mentioning 11 plus tells me more about you than them and their lack of scientific knowledge....

So you got your 11+ and then what to make you a climate expert? Ph.d?
