The last time Curry was mentioned, I seem to recall she was a messenger shot with ad homs. Here we go sonar

Dr Judith Curry said:
Until we can explain early 20th century warming, I have little confidence in UN IPCC & NCA4 attribution statements regarding the cause of recent warming
All that Curry has to do is wait a diddle and the pesky warming will be gone. Ship funnel output temperatures won't help with that.

Given that IPCC and NCA4 attribution statements are opinion/conjecture, it's hardly worth anyone holding breath.

After China's climate u-turn, take a look at Germany.

Germany To Delay Coal Exit Indefinitely?

Date: 23/01/19 S&P Global Platts

Germany needs to retain half of its coal-fired power generation capacity until 2030 to offset the closure of all its nuclear reactors by 2021/22, economy and energy minister Peter Altmaier said Tuesday.

What’s this list of countries supposed to represent?

A short list of what? You’ve put a list of some countries and said bye bye Paris?

Are you suggesting those countries are withdrawing from the Paris agreement or going to lead to it being abandoned somehow?

It's a list of countries misrepresented by him. He's right, the full list is much longer.

His propaganda machine is in 'full-on' mode this morning after yesterday's debacle it's spewing out here and in the renewables thread. Gotta keep the minions from going hungry. hehe

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a reply to your question. biggrin

'Tipping point' risk for Arctic hotspot

A rapid climate shift under way in the Barents Sea COULD spread to other Arctic regions, scientists warn. The Barents Sea is said to be at a tipping point, changing from an Arctic climate to an Atlantic climate as the water gets warmer. A conference in Norway heard that the Kara Sea and the Laptev Sea – both further to the east - are LIKELY to become the new Arctic frontier. The scientists warn that it will affect ecosystems. It MAY also impact on global weather patterns, although there's NO AGREEMENT on that…continues the fairy story
Well that’s a pretty exact scientific assessment, with its usual quota of guessing. Words. Can someone remind me the last time we had a “tipping point” ? I must have nodded off, and missed it.

Naughty IPCC nono

GWPF which for the uninformed is a secondary source said:
A prominent epidemiologist has accused the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) of inserting a false narrative into the debate on air pollution and health.

Dr Mikko Paunio, an adviser to the Finnish government, says that the panel has persuaded the World Health Organisation to back the idea that power production and transport in the developed world are major causes of air pollution deaths worldwide.

In reality, according to Dr Paunio, most air pollution harms are found in the developing world, where people have no alternative to burning wood, dung and coal on primitive stoves.

And according to Dr Paunio, the policies proposed by the IPCC represent a major threat to people in poor countries:

Finnish epidemiologist Dr Paunio who is the primary source said:
The IPCC is proposing widespread adoption of biofuels, in the full knowledge that these threaten the food supply.

They are also standing in the way of the the building of reliable electricity supplies in the developing world, without which improved environmental health is almost impossible to achieve.
These UN muppets are a menace to people enduring poverty involving starvation and poor health in developing nations. First world problems arising are less onerous..

It’s the cold weather, they’re not letting the old people out of the care home today so all the cult are stuck inside listening to TBs lectures on ‘stopping lefties take over the world’ and ‘how to click and paste from advocacy blogs’.

A bit depressing really for the retired fake boffins but at least they’ve finally finished the module on being elusive about their old careers and how to sound like they know more than NASA.

https://polarbearscience.com/2019/01/18/images-fro...

Candid images of fat, healthy bears taken over the last two years by unbiased photographers across the Arctic are representative of the state of polar bears in a world that’s warmer (*) than it was in 1980

(*) a terrifying 0.15 deg C warmer according to UAH LTT v6.0 and this is closer to 'no change' than you might think given error bar considerations.

Interesting read this, covering Climategate and the CRU crew...

Article said:
I will not apologize for my outrage at being lectured to about my moral obligations concerning climate change from the likes of Benjamin Santer, from his position at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Ironically, and sadly, he is right that we need to address climate change, but for the wrong reason. We need to address the questionable science about climate change and global warming he was part of from the start. We need to address and stop the use of science for a political agenda, as his latest pontificating illustrates. snip

Many can’t believe a small group of scientists achieved such a massive effect...

Santer and Mann are among the very worst at their practice of real science, and then unfortunately, also among the most sanctimonious and defensive when challenged by criticism, and then also nastiest on the attack of their critics. They’re triple threats. It is high time they both lose their federal funding, and high time for the USA to bring about an end to this 3 decade long global charade, by quitting our participation in, and funding for, the UNFCCC (parent UN organization of the IPCC).

What is extraordinary is how deep the buy in to this scam in society has been. I had a discussion recently with someone in the pub who claimed to ‘have looked into it’ and was convinced CAGW was a reality. The simplest discussion of CO2 warming, feedbacks, and previous earths temperatures/ CO2 levels showed he had about as much knowledge as a 2 year old.

It truly is a religion.
Facts are not required as long as blind faith is adhered to. Worship at the alter of Mann, Oreskes, IPCC, etc.

But still no answers to any questions. However, the turbosludge continues apace rofl

That aside, I'm relieved to see we've had our daily update from WUWT and The GWPF.

I was growing concerned for a while. The cult lap that stuff up and I don't like to see them go without.

scratchchin I wonder how long until we get a fresh list? Or the same list but reworded to look fresh laugh

Wrong thread. rolleyes

That should be in the renewables thread. I know you deniers like to cross-pollute many threads with this drivel but this one sees enough spam without wind farms being brought into it.
