This is a beaut. NASA, tut tut.

Why has it happened? Look at the first sentence of the 'BEFORE' version from the internet archive (Wayback Machine).

NOW

BEFORE

Ooops another climate cat is (still) out of the bag. Tax gas is still on holiday but is clearly p/t anyway.

If anyone want a glimpse at what is allegedly causing the planets climate to change, we need only walk over and take a look in the nearest mirror.
With global population increasing at rates between 286 and 347 thousand net new humans per DAY, using up the planets resources and turning them into emissions faster and faster. We are only bringing forward the time when the planet cannot sustain our colossal numbers any more.
Or do people believe the planet and its recourses are actually infinite?
We must save the planet for our children they say, as they pop yet another disposable nappy in the bin, after which and producing emissions at ever increasing ratesh they take the children a few mile to school in their multi litre 4WD sprog panzers, whilst buying them the latest resource consuming electrical goods for their delight and delectation.
You post this same thing every couple of months. hehe

And it still has little relevance to the thread. smile
You are correct I do post something like this every now and again, to try to get those who bash on about MMGW, to remember the fact that these emissions are (to use their own mantra) apparently coming from `man',
Yes but it is not some startling revelation that shocks everyone. It's pretty bloody obvious that a growing population will consume more resources.

But what's your point? Are you proposing a cull? Are you proposing banning 4WD cars or disposable nappies? Are you proposing children should be home-schooled? Are you saying we should stop selling and buying electrical products?
Why do believers immediately assume a cull is being proposed? Once any person arrives on the planet, they should have the same rights as anyone else. The key is keeping the salami in the underpants in the first place. People who have not been conceived / born don't know that they have not been conceived / born, and don't therefore feel they are missing out on anything.,
As for all those Striking for the Climate kids, lets see how many are up for a strike on a Saturday or a Sunday when they don't have to be in school, but wanting to do their `own' things, and not surprise!, surprise! on a Friday during term time.
Let us point out to them that emissions from computer use exceed those attributed to global aviation, so no more foreign holidays, and no more unrestricted computer use. Let us make it clear that instead of being transported to school in a massive 4x4, they will now have to walk to and from school, to, wait for it! help save the planet.!
I have no time whatsoever for those who bleat on about saving the planet, but who then hypocritically carry on doing things or using all the things that are contributing to the already massive and growing resource take up of all kinds, and the resultant emissions that they allege are destroying the planet.
Is it that they expect someone `else' to stop doing the things, or using the things that contribute to the increasing take up of the planets resources, and emissions, but don't feel that they should give up anything that they like having, or doing? Those that bleat on about climate change, but who churn out kids, disposable nappies, who want have to have the latest electronic fripperies for their kids and themselves, who still like jetting off to Disneyworld for a short break with the kids, who want their dwellings heated in winter and kept cool in summer, who waste huge amounts of food, because little Dwayne has discovered he doesn't like chicken nuggets any more.
Every program which takes families back to a less energy intensive, less wasteful way of life are despised by the very kids who want to save the planet, but don't want to lose any of the things that make their lives so convenient and comfortable now. As an example try taking their mobile phones off them, and see how much they scream. F*cking hypocrites.
"Hypocrites"? As I said on the striking kids thread, there seem to be so many people who somehow know all about what what other individuals think and how they behave. How do they know so much about these people? I don't understand.
Hopefully you will prevent yourself from being seen as a hypocrite by taking your computer down to the recycling centre (walking there and back, of course) thus saving the planet from a little bit of human caused global warming. Consequently we would say an electronic good bye now, since by helping to save the planet in this way, you will no longer be able to.
P.s this suggestion is no more silly than those who propose a cull should be undertaken, when the problems caused by the burgeoning human population are pointed out.
Silly is certainly the right word.
Agreed, I still think hypocrite is much more accurate though, don't you?
For an individual person it might be an appropriate word. Possibly sometimes for an organisation. For a bunch of unrelated people we don't know much about I'm not sure it's much use though.

More hinky hanky panky on the agw front.

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology has been putting itself about with over 20 mentions of a January 'record' within the meaninglessly short historical record. Here's a pic of the scene.

As has been pointed out elsewhere and on more than one occasion, the thing about global warming is that it's meant to be global. The thing about weather variation is that it's more local.

Or as Dr Roy Spencer puts it in picture form:

Note the cooler low pressure regions near and off the coasts which happen to have rising air and precipitation. The science behind the warmth is latent heat from this process transferring downwards in sinking air over land (high pressure).

Well, I think that answers my question: you don't really have a point. You're just generally angry at people you know nothing about based entirely on assumptions you've made with no basis. smile

California’s Governor has killed a billion-dollar ‘green train’ project

Political Blog Climate Depot said:
California’s new Governor was candid. “Let’s be real,” he said, “the current project as planned would cost too much and, respectfully, take too long. Right now, there simply isn’t a path to get from Sacramento to San Diego, let alone from San Francisco to L.A. I wish there were.”
Let's be real indeed. Greenblobbism costs the earth and goes nowhere helpful.

Great stuff guys, I enjoy a good punch up, even if it's just verbal. Am I spoiling things of I ask if anyone has found out if a minute increase in the planets temperature (whatever that actually is) is a problem? Apologies in advance if I’ve spoilt the fun. Here's Gadgets Beeb bit for the day

More fun...is the UK heading for the hottest Feb temperature eeeeeevvvvvvvaaaaaaaaaaah? Or at least since the meaninglessly short temp record began. We're not talking Minoan Warm Period here.

Met Office said:
There is a ‘small chance’ the nation could bake in the warmest conditions ever seen for the time of year.
Spot the weather bit:
High pressure over the continent and low pressure northwest of Britain look set to bring a stream of unseasonably hot air from Morocco and the Sahara over the UK (seasonal for Morocco and the Sahara).

Spot the global warming bit:
As the jet stream element involves movement away from the pole (warm weather will be driven in part by the jet stream dipping down over the southern atlantic before moving across the UK) whereas agw predictions had movement towards the pole, there's no global warming bit.

Such fun, it's like Australia all over again.

It's also bringing back memories of F1 'winter' testing at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in the first week of Feb at 30 deg C all for 5 euros a day.

A modern history reminder for those not communing with the jet stream - at least for a few days yet:

In 2008 climate scientists at the Carnegie Institution said:
Over a 23-year period from 1979 to 2001 the jet streams in both hemispheres have risen in altitude and shifted toward the poles. The jet stream in the northern hemisphere has also weakened. These changes fit the predictions of global warming models
Virtually straight away with ironic and comic timing the jet stream in the northern hemisphere started meandering away from the pole and strengthening, bringing a series of storms across the atlantic. Tax gas on holiday,

These were subsequently named in the manner of hurricanes to persuade gullible people that they were something special as per extreme weather mythology, rather than 'the weather'. Fast forward to 2019 for more of the same (weather).

Important to remember though, climate science is the only discipline where the data can be changed to match the hypothesis.

Gadg and El are like frothing at the mouth, nipping at the heels of TB, who just carries on as normal. I wouldn't normally attract attention to it, but as you say it was funny hehe

Reminds me a little of President Trump's predicament with the rabid democrat fake media. Anything he says is analysed for any element they can turn into a story against him.

Not that there's any doubt considering all the evidence available, but it's further assurance you're on the right side of an argument when you're opposing Trump supporting conspiracy theorists. smile

Your leader (and you) get caught out being dishonest again and then he posts loads and loads of irrelevant spam to cover it up and you admire him?

You are right though, he is carrying on as normal and he is a lot like trump now that you mention it.

How can you comment on fake news when all your facts come from wattsupwiththat and the gpwf. You’re getting your info from advocacy blogs and trumps twitter feed and think everyone else is the fake media. You’ve even tried to hide the sources if your posts. Don’t you think that’s weird?

You’ve simply been brainwashed.
