Harwich School has first UN-accredited climate change teacher in Essex

A HIGH school teacher has become the first in Essex to become a United Nations-accredited climate change teacher.
Dean Bell, a geography teacher at Harwich and Dovercourt High School, has completed a course so he can now teach the next generation about protecting the planet.
He said: “As a teacher, the issue of climate change is no longer constrained to the boundaries of the classroom.
“Climate change is a global issue, and as such, it is important that everybody understands not only about the effects, but how everybody can help to tackle this global problem.”.......................continues
How soon before the first parent complains about this then?

So you contend that two non-profit organisations and a Blog are shadier propositions that the for-profit Heartland institute?
i don't know that any of them are "shady". i do know they all take huge amounts of money from all sorts of people to further particular agendas. as long as people realise that and know to look very carefully at anything they put out it shouldn't be too much of a problem, unfortunately many don't.the term non profit is a misnomer when it comes to many organisations, both of those you mention it certainly is.
To get business back to normal here is Dr Benny Peiser of GWPF speaking at The Heartland Institute.
With two such messengers to shoot, those with insubstantial arguments based solely on a shoot-the-messenger ad hom logical fallacy will have a field day.
After clicking the vid and no doubt popping off a couple (blood vessels, insults, both) ad hommers may wish to get back with some evidence-based reasoning

The road to hell is being paved with climate fairytale intentions. Second world here we come.

Aw diddums. The poor scientists and Beeb propaganda not believed then?A (journal) Nature Communications study just outgunned PH trolls by going uber-personal in an attempt to stifle debate : "Prominent climate change contrarians (CCCs) and scientists (CCSs) in the media...In the new research, Petersen and colleagues looked at 386 prominent climate deniers and 386 climate scientists. They looked at 200,000 scientific journals and 100,000 media articles—from both traditional and new formats."
Forget playing the unplayable ball just play the men and women using science and logic to take down climate fairytales.
Stand-over thuggery takes on a new hue (green) but bizarrely it's a good sign (of increasing pro-agw desperation).

Looney co-founder of Extinction Rebellion gives an interview, he is mighty angry
We are all going to starve to death soon, hence why drones over Heathrow are justified. Grannies and kids will give their lives for the cause!

It's a curious punt. Tried before (Ehrlich), failed. Then again it's a catalogue of failure with agw extremist/alarmist predictions.
"By the year 2000 the United Kingdom will be simply a small group of impoverished islands, inhabited by some 70 million hungry people." From Ehrlich's speech at the British Institute For Biology, September 1971.

'Hallam was previously an organic farmer in Wales; he attributes the destruction of his business to a series of extreme weather events.
Between at least 2017 and early 2019 he was studying for a PhD in civil disobedience at King's College London, researching how to achieve social change through radical movements.'
Can anyone point me to the extreme weather events that killed off farming in Wales? I must have missed it in the news.
If Hallam has not recognised that his wish to utterly change the Economic system (with some certainty) in a short period of time makes "the Science", suggesting a much longer term collapse, totally irrelevant, theen he is simply delusional.
The man is barking mad if he thinks his 'solution' and his doctor/cancer analogy does not produce the very same societal collapse that he claims to wish to avoid.
He may well be right, given the way that the world at large seems to be heading, but for the wrong reasons.
He should remember that there are many people that go before him who think a human population of 1 Billion is still too much for the 'planet' to support.
I suspect he is being manipulated and does not recognise it.
If he believes that attempts to destroy the current energy based economy, which is what he seems to be suggesting is a necessity, he will almost certainly achieve the 1 Billion by exactly the problem he cites - starvation and conflict.
He is not the visionary he seems to want to think he is.
He thinks he is selling hope but his is a false hope and he seems unable to understand that simple fact. The cancer 'fighting' analogy seems very apt.
He is proposing the equivalent of a medical trial for a new and highly contentious treatment as being the complete solution for all ills.
That, in my opinion, is dishonest when he is also saying, in effect, that there is no good result to come from the trial and social collapse is the only possible result.
That said there is a good chance that the end result he predicts will ultimately be achieved but not for the reasons he suggests. The time scale may be correct but the root cause entirely different.
