Says deprived areas and Māori and Pacific Islanders getting it worst.

Are we sure this has anything to do with anti Vaxers and not a cultural thing?

It also says they can’t be sure the unborn babies died because of it.

Some of the Samoan reluctance was due to a mix up with the wrong vaccine being given last year, and causing panic.
There's been a few anti-vaxxer and witch doctor arrests too, so the authorities are taking it very seriously.

UK has issues too, from the article...

“In 2018, the UK - along with Albania, the Czech Republic and Greece, lost their measles elimination status. “

Report on R4 this week

Health workers used the wrong diluent for the vaccine resulting in a couple of babies dying following vaccination

Govt. suspended vaccinations for 9 months whilst investigating to find the error

American anti vaxxers piled in and aided by the wife of a local rugby star whipped up a panic

Last of all paediatricians from UK are going in to deal with the measles epidemic and catch up vaccine programme

No, because it endangers all those who are unable to be vaccinated, not just those who chose not to be.

From a rugby forum, a local involved in the relief programme, basically said the hospital involved witheld the information on the error allowing the anti - vaxxers to spread their murderous shiite.

Looks in line with what I expected - lots in 1940. not lots in 2017.

An Anti- vaxxer will try and tell you that is due to better water, healthcare and sanitation. Survivability might be better in modern years due to healthcare, but those numbers just support the fact vaccines work.

AVers give some BS about how people with the vaccine carry the virus on our skin and pass it to those who can't be vaccinated and it isn't the fault of AVers.

The bizarre thing is that some qualified doctors/medical professionals are on their side. I don't understand what these people have to gain from it or why they are doing it.

Medical professionals aren't infallible; Harold Shipman, Dr Kevorkian, Beverly Allitt, and so on.

I work with quite a few physicians on clinical studies. One or two of them seem to think that putting the words "in my professional opinion" turns their hand-waving guess into cold hard scientific fact biggrin

Having said that the majority of medical professionals I work with aren't like that at all.
