In the form of one Joanne Shaw Taylor.

My word, she is the best guitarist I've ever witnessed in person. Simply superb.

If you like blues rock music with lots of guitar. Check her out, absolutely amazing.

It does but he's called John Mayer now.

Also, she's good.

Thanks for that; a quick look on YouTube confirms she’s good. I’ll have a proper listen...

Yes! She's been on my playlist for the past year, thanks to Spotify suggestions. Not caught her live yet, but soon.

Was Kris Barras supporting? Saw him live earlier this year and love his stuff too.

Only 3/4 of Kris Barras was there. Not sure why. They did a semi acoustics set. Was pretty darn good though. Hope to catch them again at some point.

yes

An astonishing all-round guitarist, with a formidable knowledge of music theory also.

Hear her described as a female Stevie Ray Vaughan

Hendrix analogy is good though, plays like a demon. Voice is average

I always kind of thought it lived in John Frusciante too:

Hummmm .... I'd be thinking more Bernie Torme or Pat McManus thumbup

On a side-note, Bernies going on one final tour before he hangs up his guitar. Starts in a few weeks time smile

JST does nothing for me. Can clearly play the guitar but it's all a bit generic, certainly no comparison to Hendrix, SRV or countless others.

Would agree with Mayer, Pat McManus and will throw in Walter Trout

Edit: Oh and Philip Sayce, who's tone is just monstrous https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeD2uVBhXjQ
