The fact you want him to stay only goes to prove he isn't independent, as he should be, and therefore he should go.

Pretty much what more and more folk are saying here. The damage being done to 'our' democracy will set precedents that have taken a thousand years to devolve into and will stay with us as a hindrance to most but, more importantly, will become a bag of useful spanners that only fit crooked hands. We have been made a laughing stock by the refusers but even more so by the Speaker (with a forked tongue).

Shouldn't be allowed. Ministers can't take posts after leaving unless otherwise approved for 6 months (?)
