I have to ask, is this man the biggest tt in U.K. politics? He will say anything to get Labour into government. Shameless moron.

No - because Labour are not in power so he doesn't have any responsibility to make things work. It's those in the Tory party you should be looking at.

Diane shades it for me, she’s a bona fide idiot.

He’s a true believer. Much more dangerous admittedly, but you asked about morons.

The man is contemptuous. He's a genuine security risk.

He's contemptuous of modern decent society. His beliefs are outdated and pose a real threat to this country should he ever attain power.

He's already called for the scrapping of MI5 and armed police, not to mention admitting being a Marxist, wanting to overthrow capitalism, collective land ownership and advocating violence against his political opponents. Any one of those should be a career ender, yet thanks to Conservative incompetence he's close to being in charge of our economy.

My question was about people in politics, not those in government.

A creditable swerve, but a swerve nonetheless.

And my answer is that a person in opposition cannot be anywhere near as big a tt as one in government because they are the opposition so their job is to cause trouble, not run the country.

No. My vocabulary is fine, thank you.

Who on earth are you, to think you can correct me and then compound things by telling me I'm also swerving?

Incredible condescension and arrogance.

I can assure you it wasn't.

I've always thought he is totally contemptuous of what it takes to run a modern well adjusted society. He's a throwback to dangerous times.

I'm amazed he has any support at all, even amongst left wingers.

Though it wasn't really a question was it? It was more an assertion with a question mark. This place has been going to the dogs for years and it's hard to know what the world is coming to. NP+E has been a stalwart of objective, critical thinking and analysis since time began, and now this, shame on you. For the record I reckon he is the man behind the throne and a definite threat to the world as we know it.

And clearly you still don’t understand. The purpose of the opposition is to present an electable alternative to the current government. Anyone can be a tt.

Indeed, NP+E, as a sub forum of PH is territory for the world’s sharpest minds.

Precisely, anyone can be a tt including members of the current government. I don't expect you to agree with me on my choice of tt but why was your only comment on my first post that I "didn't understand"? My view is simply that the performance of the people that are actually running the country is way more significant than those in opposition. You might not agree but it doesn't mean I don't understand. Being honest I think you are just one of the people on PH who want to distract from the complete debacle of a government we have by pointing a finger elsewhere. That's why the Corbyn and Diane Abbott threads roll-on.
