Yes but at least he has actually done something.
Low taxes are generally seen as a good thing by those on the right so at least he has a position to argue from.

His position on immigration seems deliberately decisive but we can understand how that appeals

What else is he actually doing?
Improving his handicap?

MAGA attack was fake?

(I post this because IanH's "echo chamber" point is not without merit. The opinion piece above is about how already-polarised people can lose their grip on reality.)

The reason for my posts is to genuinely try to understand the positives of what Trump is doing.

There is no question that people are losing their st over him, and that this is being used against them.

My point is it's my belief that Trump is not delivering on what he promised and that it's all divisive rhetorical bullst.

So apart from winding up liberals and appealing to racists what has he actually done?

Stones just deleted the original and posted a new one that cropped out the crosshairs.

AMI: “We couldn’t last three months into a three-year immunity agreement precluding ‘illegal activity’.”

Manafort: “Oh yeah? Well, I deliberately lied—breaking my plea deal—so I’m going to jail for years.”

Stone: “Hold my beer. And my Harry Potter glasses.”

...however your dislike for Trump also blinds you to the reasons why his approval rating IS increasing, despite you saying it's not which is, again, a blindness you have because your dislike for him stops you seeing a fact.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approva... - over that last three and a half weeks this aggregate site says his approval has gone from 39.3% to 41.8% - even you must be able to agree that those numbers show an increase, making my statement correct. However I understand that you'll claim a different time period to prove your point too.
Sorry for the snip, but...

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approva...

If you are going to make a sweeping statement that his approval has increased at least show the whole story.
Apology accepted.

Bernie Sanders has announced he is running for the Democratic nomination in 2020, bringing the number of serious candidates so far to 8 (Booker, Castro, Delaney, Gabbard, Harris, Klobuchar, Warren & Sanders), with two more in the wings having formed Exploratory Committees (according to wiki, 182 individuals have filed so far. 182). Rumours swirl around HRC,Joe Biden, and Beto O'Rourke too.

That to me is a too crowded field already. But it also signals that Dems see Trump as vulnerable, and that these Dems reckon that they have figured out a way to beat him at his game of "get personal, lie lots, keep moving". I can't say that I've seen any of them consistently dump him on his arse on that front though. Yet.

Sanders is 77, good on him. I hope I'm still kicking as hard when I'm near 80.

61% of Americans disapprove of Trump's emergency declaration, according to PBS/NPR/Marist.

Nearly 6-in-10 don't believe there's an emergency at the border and that Trump is misusing his presidential authority. They also believe his decision should be challenged in court.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

“The biggest abuse of power and corruption scandal in our history, and it’s much worse than we thought. Andrew McCabe (FBI) admitted to plotting a coup (government overthrow) when he was serving in the FBI, before he was fired for lying & leaking.” @seanhannity @FoxNews Treason!

The guy whose team took over a 100 meetings with the Russians and lied about every one is actually accusing someone else of “treason.”

It turns out the “illegal and unconstitutional coup” was completely bipartisan.
McCabe confirms for first time to Savannah Guthrie on Today that the FBI informed the Gang 8 in May 2017 the FBI had opened a counterintelligence investigation into Trump and "no one objected. Not on legal grounds, not on constitutional grounds, and not based on the facts."

In his book, McCabe briefly explains that he informed lawmakers about the case files opened on 4 individuals connected to the Trump campaign, and then "told them of additional steps we had taken. No one interrupted. No one pushed back. The mood in the room was sober."

Yes, funny how that ad doesn't say "Successful candidates will have a disregard for the law, and can expect to be indicted at some point after 2020".

Worryingly 4 in 10 do actually believe there is an emergency at the southern border. How anyone can believe anything the orange man baby says is completely baffling.
