Poor answer. You are the one claiming you have some kind of prescient understanding. But when asked to be more clear, you obfuscate.

Suggesting I do my own research is ironic, bearing in mind your "research" consists of reading other warped viewpoints from random people on the internet whose statements happen to fit your preferred narrative.

And you consistently resist the challenge I keep making of going to look for yourself what is actually happening with regard to the yellow vests in France. You could pop over - and you could even speak to some of the protesters, easily checking how well what you are reading corresponds with reality.

But you refuse, as deep down you would rather preserve the alternative reality constructed on the internet, than risk exposing it to some kind of reality check. So you shouldn't be surprised when people conclude you lack credibility on this topic.
So in your head, I must answer your questions ?, ha ha, your`e a true beauty an no mistake.

I claim nothing except the version being provided of events by the MSM is not always honest. Its telling that you dismiss doing your own research by attacking how you (Incorrectly) perceive I do mine, I respect that your choice is to remain in ignorance, you go for it mate, your`e very good at it.

I have spoken to several "Yellow vests" in France as recently as yesterday. There is this thing called the internet that allows real time connections to people via things like twitter, comparing a live video to what the MSM is spouting soon exposes the porky`s.

People can make up their own mind on credibility, they dont need you to tell them what that is, but its the mark of a real ahole that they think they speak for others (Is it some magic power you have ?).

Hmmm.... suspect you are trying to tack to a more sensible position.

No-one is suggesting the MSM is always accurate or without its own bias. The (original) point was some (like TVR) were making exaggerated claims as to the scale of the disruption caused by the yellow vests and that this wasn't being covered due to some government conspiracy. That is false. There isn't rioting across France, there aren't bombs going off, the banks aren't in meltdown.

That isn't to say that the numbers involved in protesting on Saturdays are not significant. And I have seen myself, there is genuine anger being directed towards Macron from people who feel they have real grievances. And it could escalate again, as it did before Christmas.

But let's not conflate what is happening with every other conspiracy theory from the last 100 years, as that just moves into the realms of being ridiculous.

Errands done: Oh so you know a man bla blaa blaa?

What about all the racist, pedo, fraud and corruption that is in Parliament current and past. So in your theory I hope you don't vote because there is dirt throughout. Corbyn and the like are some of the most dangerous in HP yet their the 2nd leading party.
You like many have fallen for the trap to condemn National populist parties with all the names they possible can because they fear what is happening. The Government with help from google/FB/twitter/patreon closing all their funds, accounts and advertising . You have the Canadian soy boy feminist Turdeau buying the media 600 million not to post negative stuff, trying to close alt media that refused his bribe.

We even had yesterday AOC saying the world is going to end in 12 years if we don't do something about climate change BS. Comparing it to WW2.... why didn't she pick 10 years,11,13 Nope the ex bartender says 12 years.

to be afir pre referendum ukip looked to be getting their st together though still had problems with some fruitloops. now they have gone full on batst mental they are completely un electable ,imo of course.

i would rather see a campaign to vote for independent candidates or the monster raving loony party than see the current ukip lot have representation in parliament. maybe just me though. i do agree the current system and its incumbents are no longer fit for purpose ,and not just in the uk.

You go your way,I'll go mine. smile

I simply couldn't and wouldn't ever vote Labour and with all the back stabbing,Traitorous,EU loving, globalist loving agenda from the Con party I can't ever vote them again.
Ukip is by far from perfect but I relate to these guys more so than any of the current people we have.
I actually liked my response letter from Ukip saying " Due to the overwhelming support your membership card may take several weeks to arrive" Or they only have one person in charge of the post. wobble

There are some very unimformed comments on this thread. The readon why you are not encountering protestors is that Macron has announced his big debates and is being given the benefit of doubt,if nothing happens with them, the protest will start again.
The protests have not subsided in Bordeaux or Toulouse(last Saturday was Toulouse’s biggest turn out),Bordeaux was again smothered in gas and flash balls outside the Hotel de Ville.
Social media will give you the truth, not an agenda of “we have this under control”.
Which makes perfect sense. Unlike some of the wibble on this thread.

I did reply to this but PH decided to remove it...

I'll try again.... They replied with a courtesy letter and have since sent daily/weekly letters with correspondence. What is your problem with this?

I then pointed out you have a very nice full profile... I must of broke a rule pressing on profile. wink it seems Tech companies etc can monitor us but I can't press profile now. Imagine my shock.

Suspect you broke the rules by threatening to get one of your buddies to go through his posting history to try and discover more information about him. Not cool.

Yeah like everyone these days people have lost their sense of humor. You're being watched now by the tech companies as said.. You ok with this?

It's a simple case I'm now being watched and not long before I'm silenced because my agenda doesn't fit with the narrative. If they do they don't realize we just get stronger and more vocal.

That's not difficult with Eddy..... Everything is a conspiracy unless it saw it in the garbage he reads or what the bbc news tells him.

If you missed my post 768 it was a joke that apparently we are banned from these days. Nothing malicious no threat... and there would never be beer

I was in France over Christmas and I did see a couple of Yellow Vest encampments, they were both next to roundabouts on main roads into towns. They looked cold and pissed off but determined, getting lots of beeps of encouragement from drivers. I was surprised at how many yellow vests on dashboards I saw, not every car certainly but a significant amount. This was mostly in the Normandy area, can't speak for the rest of the country.

But it isn’t happening all over the world - for example third tier towns & cities in China/ India are booming- whereas 20 years ago it was just Shanghai/ Canton/ Delhi etc

Provincial Indonesia has become unrecognisable from 25 years ago - mobile internet has also had a part to play. Heck my wife’s small hometown in Java has hipster coffee shops set up by people returning home from Australia and setting up Melbourne style places smile
I mean the move to import cheap labour from elsewhere to make the locals life better, but obviously not the locals who used to do those jobs, but the wealthier locals.

Romania is now using cheap labour from Asia, the towns are booming but the villages etc. are being left behind.

Yes, we are now seeing third tier towns booming, but again we have rural ares being left behind.

The issue is, as we move forward we have to decide if we are happy for a smaller workforce with more AI or we want to have a fairer society.
To be blunt it is only a question of morals at the moment why we still have so many employees, we could get rid of huge swathes of the working population in many western countries tomorrow if we wanted to.

We are already seeing small famers, smaller manufacturers, smaller retailers, smaller pretty much anything being slowly crushed by the big boys, who get massive tax breaks and massive subsidies etc. Maybe we just need to accept the fact that in a couple of decades we will have a few dozen corporations running everything?

I see the smaller farmers round here screaming to leave the EU, the EU is crushing them.
I see the larger farmers and the land owners screaming to stay in the EU, they think it is a wonderful project.

This is what we are seeing in France with the Gilet Jaunes, this is why it is not a left or right thing, we have capitalists that are all for capitalism but not capitalism with an unfair advantage for the corporations. They don't seem to pigeon hole left and right like we seem to here. Probably because they all see themselves as socialists, even those who make Trump look like a socialist.

Another classic comment from the ?? with no profile. Why do you bother? You hate anyone who has a different opinion to your blinkered life . Silence him!! Eddy is trying by hitting his little report button.

Why?

I think he is making some very valid points.

Not good to dismiss others opinions and not listen.

That was the problem remainers had, same with the Democrats.

this thread is rapidly reaching peak wibble

I shall retreat to my basement bunker to devour my bottle of scotch and 20 B&H while reading a 30 year old copy of razzle.

can someone please flick the lights on and off when this thread has disappeared totally up its own arse?
