l'm surprised that we don't already have a thread about this great woman.

Margaret Thatcher took a couple of years to demonstrate her greatness. Theresa May only took a couple of hours.

Today, she is going to announce her intention to repeal the 1972 European Communities Act.

She has severly clipped the wings of the civil service.

Sir What'sHisName, the civil servant who used to chair many government commitees, is no longer even able to attend the meetings.

By God, this woman is impressive.
Since this is how the last thread started, thought I'd bring it here. hehe

Quite how people still don’t get this I don’t understand. It does, however, explain why the misinformed were throwing around the racist card so much.

It is not about stopping people travelling to the UK. What you describe above is not an issue for all but the lunatic fringe.

Please do explain how it will work with no border and no checks, while you are at it please explain how it is racist.

Yep I blame the two party system , makes us vote for the least worst option so the opposition just count the days until the electorate get fed up enough with the current lizards to vote for a" change"

I wonder if by page 499 of this one the ERG will have managed to muster 48 letters.

Assuming you live in the UK she's your PM too.

Assuming you're also old enough to vote, out of interest who did you vote for last year?

How in the name of monkey nuts is Maggie May vile??
This is a woman who is so gray, she makes John Major look a veritable rainbow!
She has never actually taken a commanding decision throughout her political career.
She has never been an ideologue, mostly because she has never appeared to believe in much apart from not rocking the boat. The only time she HAS vaguely revealed any political beliefs they have actually been a mild leaning towards social justice.

May can be accused of many things , but vile???? You have to actually “do” something to be vile, she has never done anything!

Neither Mogg nor the ERG actually have any ability to replace May. It’s a minor point but one you may wish to consider.

Don’t we have to leave the EU before we can change the alphabet from 26?

The DUP have acted in their rational self interest. They have been entirely consistent in their behaviour. By common sense and rational logic, the DUP are the only ones from this whole mess who you could argue are the ones you would trust!
This is the problem - they may be consistent but what theyre saying isnt really reconcilable
On the one hand they say they want to border with UK, then not with Eire, then they say they dont want to join up with Eire

DeejRC said:
Whether you like that behaviour is irrelevant! Neither the British govt nor the EU however, have acted in their logical self interest.
This is just one aspect of the whole lunacy of where we are!
It is but it's due to both trying to satisfy the DUP.

I said before the only truly satisfactory way is for Eire to come out too and the whole thing becomes a sea border

Without that the draft agreement is the only suitable compromise

If the DUP dont buy that theyre going to either have to have a border in the Irish Sea or across Ireland
Choose?
